Amazon Meta Data ... just in the KDP description or also in the MS text

I did try to search for this answer... no luck...

There is loads of advice on selecting the 7 Keywords/Phrases for KDP MetaData which allows your book to be found (and listed by category)

My question is... has anyone heard of... or had experience of... putting "special" words into the actual text in Chapter 1 / Chapter 2 / Chapter 3 ... such that the Amazon 'search AI' says ... 'Ah, this is a science fiction thriller'

any thoughts?

The MS text is not used for search data at all - you can check this by searching for unique character names. Even the product page doesn't appear to be counted by the search function.

Additionally, the marketplace is so over-filled these days that it would be remarkable if anyone was able to find your book via a keyword search - unless you had already established yourself as a bestseller.
