A mysterious community is discovered

When Gabriel took the food and weapons, he was forced by the new community. People, who are living in the trash yard and have been done so for a quite a while.

In fact, they've adapted their lives as much as the female group by the sea. Their ways are as strange as the people, who used to live in the Terminus. Except they aren't cannibals, but more like the people who has lived in the George Miller's Wasteland.

Immortan Joe would be proud of them. He would be absolutely grinning on them and their ways, because to them, the yesterday's world never existed. It is almost as if they've forgotten and just started living in the dumb.

In a way it is a perfect hiding place and as much as I understand it isn't far away from the boat. Which makes it weird, because they haven't met the biggest bully in the Washington.

They are the numbers Rick wanted. The reason for Rick's smile at the end of last episode.

PS. I absolutely loved Daryl's and Carol's reunification. It was so sweet.

Not sure if I trust this new group.

Carol and Daryl's reunion was sweet. Think he made a mistake not telling her what happened, I understand why he didn't , he knows it would likely tip her over the edge but when she does find out it could destroy their friendship.
Daryl 's scene with the tiger is one of my favourites.

I did like Winslow

Well, I have to say I did find Winslow intriguing, because I cannot understand how he was made, and how is he fed. Was the spikes in his body done before his death or after?

Still, think about them as foot soldiers. Pack Winslow in a truck, take them to the Saviour compound and let them lose. That helmet might them even survive head shots, while all scores in the centre of mass are ignored.

In a weird way Winslow is the most horrifying thing I've seen in this series.

Daryl 's scene with the tiger is one of my favourites.

I thought it showed very well his vulnerability and the damage that time has done on him. There aren't many things left in the world and Shiva is one of the last tigers. Everyone else have been munched by the dead.

I thought it was hilarious when, after Rick's fight to the death with what he called "that thing," the Trash Tribe leader wistfully said that his name was Winslow -- like he was some sort of pet or tribe mascot she would miss. :(

My guess: "Winslow" was a tribe enemy who was killed and quickly transformed into the tribe gladiator between his death and reanimation. Maybe his real name was John, and "Win Slow" was a description of his fighting style. I'm also guessing that Winnie got to eat who he beat.
Overall, I found the Trash Tribe and its visionary leader to be a little less believable than Winslow.

Those spikes are limiting his movements. Seriously.

Like I said, they're out from Miller's Wasteland. People living like ultimate scavengers. They're good cannon fodder material.

Episodes 9 and 10 have been an enjoyable return to form for Walking Dead. There will be troubles ahead but good to see some positives for the Alexandrians.
The new group were rather odd in the extreme, but they are bound to lead to some interesting events.

Cool episode!

What do you make of the plane flying past in the distance as Rick turned back smiling after climbing out of the pit?

It would be much more interesting if it was an aircraft :)

One thing we haven't seen much of is animal life. I mean, there would surely be packs of dogs running wild, and birds a plenty!

Bird watching could be a good theme for next season to calm the tensions of all the Negan brutality.
