Logan Trailer Drops

there's some potential in this film. I'm willing to give it a chance. Even tho i find Wolver-boring to be the most overrated character in marveldom (aside from perhaps Iron Man, Cap and Mr fantastic)
 
Looks like Old Man Logan in the fallout universe. There's a great deal of respect due to Jackman here and I hope that this is somehow old man Logan he deserves to end his portrayal in the right way and having Patrick Stewart at his side, perfect. Very interested to see who Richard E Grant is playing. I was hoping for Mr Sinister but now I think it could be better than that.

I love that he has the shakes.
 
I saw the trailer at the cinema, and although it looks (and sounds) pretty dark, I thought it looks rather good - something a little different from the usual X-Men series.
 
I wish after all these movies they had figured out how to make Wolverine move like Wolverine. Spider-Man's movements have gotten otten better and better, but Logan always looks ridiculous flying through the air or jabbing at stuff.

I'm super excited for this, looks great. I know they've had thir share of detractors, but I love most all of the X-men movies (minus Wolverine Origins, of course...). If this is indeed Jackman's last go around as Wolverine, I hope it does him justice.
 
I wish they would stop hanging them on wires. But the kid fights more convincingly like Wolverine than any Jackman depiction to date.

The Avengers Civil War movie has finally got Spider-Man moving in a somewhat convincing manner. I don't understand why they made Wolverine's action scenes so fake for this long.
 
Spider-Man has the benefit of being in a full body suit, though - with Wolverine you'd have to digitally replicate Hugh Jackman. We saw from Rogue One just recently that even with millions of dollars and the best in the business at your disposal results are iffy at best. You might more easily get away with it with quick-cut action scenes, but it's still going to be a lot more expensive then stringing up a wire rig. And I think they would have been keen to keep the budget down on this one, given the R-rating.

You don't have to animate his head or even whole body. Superman isn't in a full body suit, either.

If budget is the problem, don't do wide, well lit profile shots of slow motion jumps.

I'm pretty confident that budget is definitely the problem. A quick check shows Logan's budget is about $125 million, with Man of Steel and Civil War clocking in around $220-250 million. There seems to be no solid word on Homecoming but it looks to be as much or more than those two.
 
That's encouraging. Now all they have to do is not ruin the character in the film (like they did with Deadpool in Wolverine Origins).

You must be psychic... they did ruin it. That's two hours of my life I won't get back again, and it was the worst two hours of any X-men films, by a very long shot. Insulting premise, ludicrous storyline, embarrassed actors (Jackman and Stewart) and multiple hack and slash killings every five minutes or so, in case you were dropping off in your comfortable cinema seat. God, it was execrable.
