Discussion Thread -- September 2016 75-word Writing Challenge

Apologies for not posting a long list this month, time has eluded me once again.

My vote, after some consideration, has gone to Starbeast, whose touching story struck a chord with me, with laxatives being a la mode in Chez Jones most recently. (To wit: Toddlers...)

Mosaix, Mad Alice and Moonbat ran the Beastly One to a close second place. Well done all!

Two guest appearances by Parson and I missed him both times - fume.

Ok, I've decided hell can't be that bad... can it?

Well, I've voted - after hacking thi list down to:- Victoria Silverwolf, The Judge, StilLearning, Justin Swanton & David Evil Overlord, I finally - with some effort, came down on StilLearning - but any of them might have made it at the last syllable of recorded time…

Hmm, for the afternoon of the last day only 28 votes among 54 who submitted pieces - that is low (and not one non-competitor to offset the lack. According to my list (and I normally get something wrong - it's not all that easy to avoid missing somebody) we're waiting for:- AJB, Alex The G and T, Andrew Lambert , Ashleyne. B. Watts, AstroZon, aThenian, Calliopenjo, Cat's Cradle, ErikB, HazelRah, Heijan Xavier, hopewrites, Ihe, Jo Zebedee, LittleStar, Mad Alice, Perpetual Man, Phyrebrat, ratsy, reiver33, Starbeast, Tanja Bisgaard, The Judge, ThomasG, Ursa major, Vaz, and WordWarrior. Along with anyone else who either didn't participate or was disqualified for overwordage, obviously. I know it's difficult, but this is really not representative.

Vote went to Mad Alice. Really liked the overlapping close/far interwoven narratives. Such depth and layering in only 75 words was very clever I thought.

@Vaz Thanks for the short listing.

@Heijan Xavier .... Most Topical? Great!! Thanks

@Bowler1 .... I'm a ghost, even if you shot me you wouldn't hit me. Plus you can't shoot what you can't see.

Heeeey I did vote. I resent being called out, my name will be tarnished. I want an apology. And a cake that says "sorry". Better yet, spell out "sorry" with a letter per cake. With multiple exclamation marks. Then give me your car keys and walk away, head low, properly ashamed of what you have done. Nothing less will do.

You have my unqualified support (but it will cost you one of the cakes - better make sure it's banana, or sponge, or apple - I'm especially partial to apple)
