One for those in the "north." While @chopper has a much needed break from the Sheffield meet.
August 27th,
at The Monks Walk,
Beverley.

In a fantasically relaxed and "Wifi free" pub come and meet like minded genre fans. No pressure to do anything other than enjoy good company and maybe a drink.
Two special guests will be joining us:
Daniel Godfrey will be reading from New Pompeii. Published by Titan Books, this is history in the making, this is Daniel's first venture into reading to strange folk! Titan has been publishing some good stuff recently and New Pompeii doesn't dissapoint.
David Tallerman is our other guest whose writing credits include publication in Lightspeed, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Clarkesworld, and Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine and lets not forget The Tales of Easie Damasco series published by none other than Angry Robot. Aside from reading a little from NewCon Press's Sign in the Moonlight and Other Stories collection (which looks superb) there's a sneaky rumour he'll be reading something hot off the press.

There's good food on the menu, a top quality raffle, bad jokes, and appropriately named beer on tap.
Pub's a little bit old. Yes these are original features...maybe not the lights so much though.
