RG, I know you posted this awhile back, but are these later trilogy any good? I read the first trilogy, but wasn't terribly impressed. How do you rate these later books?
 
Only read Infinity Shore, which to my mind was a bit stodgy to read. But if you are a follower of the whole series (I only thought them average), then they will make a lot more sense.

Ive read Sundiver, Star Tide Rising and The Uplift War. Magnificent books and I loved the concept of of the whole uplifting of species to sentience and independence . Had awesome cast of memorable characters both human and non human.(y)
