I was rereading ASOIAF again and found some connections that are not so important (as name suggests) If u find some please post it here.

Eddard's POV:
Some boy Angi, unnoble, won archery contest. Eddard sends his men to ask him to join Hand's guard. But the boy was drunk with victory and gold and he refused him.
Arya's POV:
Angi and Lem are having a discusion:
Angi: I once won some gold myself.I have won archery contest on Hand's tournament. Then I found out from Dancy and Alayaya what is the taste of minced swan and how it is to bathe in Dornish wine. (or something like that)

Sorry for the typos:) So if u find something like this post it here.

Hi,
you always wonder about these small intersections of characters... ie will they be significant in future books. Can't say that I can remember any "less important" connections right now though. Too late at night!

Every time Maester Aemon opened his mouth, there was some connection to Egg and Dunk, or at least the earlier Targs.

I am rereading Erikson at the moment, so i wouldnt know

Found some more. Brown brother that Brienne of Tarth have spoken with is dead. 3 guys brought his head to Cersei. And at the end of ASOS Frey says that some guy died from the axe. Arya saw that the Hound killed him.

Ah, I thought the dwarf Brienne spoke with might be dead. I thought at first the details were too hazy to be sure it was him, but I must read that section again. Being a dwarf in KL is just too dangerous with Cersei on a rampage. I thought the saddest thing was when Cersei remembered how some men bought her a young childs head and tried to pretend it came from a dwarf - and she just got annoyed because it wasn't Tyrion's.

Found one more. Arya's POV ASOS. Arya gave silver to the captain of Titan's daughter. He says that there nothingat North for them. He saw 12 pirate ships going North and he does'nt want to see them again. Before this we know that Salador Sann has a dozen ships and Stannis came to the north before in the book. Spoiler: Although according to Danys pov chapter it could be Dany. (she got 13 ships from her Quarth frfriend.iend

Is this one a coincidence or does GRRM plan on using this character more? Let's see if Capt. Moe makes his way back to Dany with information on Sam.

Sorry for double post (again). I found one "could be important later" stuff.

At the begining of the ACOK at Joff's birthday tournament Hobbar Redwin beats old knight with silver griffons on his cloak. (silver griffons on red field to be precise).

Also, have you noticed that in every book person that speaks in prologue days first.

ser shadrich "the mad mouse" meets brienne on her quest to find sansa. later on he is in the vale as one of littlefinger's swords. the question is will he figure out alannye is sansa?

Osha telling a story about her brother killing a giant.. Maybe Tormund Giantsbane is her brother, with his cute story about slipping inside a giant:
“Well, here’s a tale for you. It were another winter, colder even than the one I spent inside that giant, and snowing day and night..."

I have found another connection:

In AGOT when Danny first time meet Mirry Maz Dur she asks her where did she learned her skills. She mentions Marwin as one of her teachers. Can som1 please post citation? Thank you.
Ser Jorah Mormont spoke up. “A maester?”
“Marwyn, he named himself,” the woman replied in the Common Tongue. “From the sea. Beyond the sea. The Seven Lands, he said. Sunset Lands. Where men are iron and dragons rule. He taught me this speech.”
“A maester in Asshai,” Ser Jorah mused. “Tell me, Godswife, what did this Marwyn wear about his neck?” “A chain so tight it was like to choke him, Iron Lord, with links of many metals.”
The knight looked at Dany. “Only a man trained in the Citadel of Oldtown wears such a chain,” he said, “and such men do know much of healing.”

I thought about a drunken Septon at the Wall, could it be the one who married Tyrion with Tysha?
“Oh, you’d be astonished at what a boy can make of a few lies, fifty pieces of silver, and a drunken septon."
