After several attacks on Lucien Alliance Cargo Ships by SG-1 a Bounty is placed on their heads.

Are they scared? Well, firstly they don't know about it, and surely they have always been in danger of being killed. The difference here is that several Bounty Hunters are after them, and the Bounty Hunters are heading for Earth.

During a period of R+R, SG-1 splits up. Teal'c is helping the Jaffa. Sam is helping to promote new technologies based upon back-engineering alien devices. Daniel is reading old manuscripts. Cameron Mitchell goes to his high school reunion in Kansas, accompanied by Vala Mal Doran.

All of SG-1 have been tracked by a low level exotic radiation marker, and each has an attempt made on their lives. Incredibly, unbelievably, each attempt fails.

Mitchell meets his high school sweetheart. Sam's new gadgets show how useful they can be.

Some of the episode is just plain silly. Some of it is very, very funny. Vala is the last person you want to take to your high school reunion, or home to meet your parents.

Vala: "There is something I ought to tell you at this point, I'm married."

Vala: "He is a religious zealot, bent on domination of this Galaxy."

Darren: "So, you're separated?"

I agree with your sentiments. This episode did very little for the story as a whole, but it did introduce the 'Total Recall' style use of holographic diversions into the Stargate universe. There were some pretty funny moments, most of them involving Vala and the fact that she didn't quite fit in.

I thought that there would be a 'Wizard of Oz' joke thrown in somewhere when Cam mentioned to Vala that his high school reunion was in Kansas. Alas, no such jokes were made, despite the setup being there.
