Dr Who is going to be streamed on Disney which is also going help fund Dr Who. But , the BBC still retains creative control. What do you think it means for the future of the franchise ?

Thoughts ? :)

RTD has said he can write bigger stories as they have more money to play with. I would like to see some different planets, and some spinoffs as I do like Torchwood. Hopefully it will be fun and bring in the viewers again. It's been a long time since I was excited for some new Dr Who.

Neil Patrick Harris is going to be playing the main villain in the 60th anniversary special . That to me is awesome .

Spinoffs ? Absolutely yes !

Id like to see serious dealing with the Earth/ Dalek wars.

If Disney can turn Doctor Who into a money spinning franchise for a US audience, then good for them. 'My' Doctor Who came to an end with the regeneration of Peter Davison into Colin Baker, so whatever happens to the series after this doesn't really concern me. I think what Doctor Who needs more than anything is writers of the calibre of those who wrote for the first 5 Doctors.

I think it will fill the fans with happiness and contentment, just like everything else that's happened in Dr Who since the internet was invented!

IThere some thing about the news series that I did like but I tend to like too older classic series and their multipart cliffhanger serials. my Favorite for classic is Inferno .
