Started watching this last night (I have to split films into 3 sessions) but so far not enjoing it, though my wife is:
1. This isn't s sequel to Dr Strange - it's a sequel to the WandaVision TV series. Although they summarize things (repeatedly, because apparently there's so much to cover) I'm constantly left feeling that I'm missing out on what story there actually is.
2. Most of the first hour appears to be one big CGI-sequence after another.
3. There's a lot of new stuff about Dr Strange - like his Nepalese temple and a minotaur guy - that goes completely unremarked or explained, which I find ... strange.
Overall, so far, this film is lacking an awful lot of context, even for someone who watched the original Dr Strange film. It also seems a lot more comic-book cheesy than other Marvels I've watched. Benedict Cumberbatch must have been cringing through a lot of his lines.
