The group in Oceanside continues to train in case the Whisperers return; tensions are high as the heroes struggle to hold onto their concept of civilization.

Oh man, I loved the episode starting with the ocean zombies, as they were predicted in the Zombie Survival Manual. In my own trilogy, the Great Panic starts in the similar fashion, with similar types appearing all over London, including Thames.

Thank you AMC and thank you for finally forming the militia. They always needed one. The dead are a menace, but thing is, we humans are so good at destroying almost anything. We know how to fight, how to deal with the worse of the worst. Even our own literacy talks about the same thing. It''s all about the survival and not about the little notes that says money on it.

In the Kirkman's world, the survivors has no choice but to do the impossible and forget some of the old world in order to survive. Seeing them clearing a ghost ship was exciting. Really exciting, and it shows that TWD community is thriving, while the Fear ... is just whole lot of no-no.

It is also fabulous that the kids are actively playing among the older ones, even if it's creepy for them to find a Whisper mask hidden in the sand. Among the other things they had finally upgraded to wireless communication, as it was predicted.

The hardlines are still there, and they should not forget it because the wireless communication can be intercepted, and as weird as it is, the Kirkman's world still has connections to the Old World and there might be cyber experts among the survivors.

We would try our damnest to make the world and use the knowledge plus skills that God given us. It would be kind of the ultimate hacking scenario, expect for the grief. I honestly don't know how many of us would survive the loss and devastation of everything. But that's what the TWD survivors are doing. They are living in the world that is most hostile to them.

When Aaron horse charged into Rick's Bridge, I wish he would have been sporting with a mace and continued going back and forth instead of getting off the horse. I guess it's one of those lesson you'll have to still learn as you adapt to the ancient fighting methods.

I have a theory about the ammo scarcity in the DC area and I suspect that the All Out War had something to do with it as they were shelling those rounds like there was no tomorrow. If Eugene is not manufacturing them because he's having PTSD's he should teach someone else. The bang bang has it faults, as it makes noise, so again maybe it is a good thing that they now know how to really fight hand-to-hand against the Dead.

For the Living they'll need the real thing. Not just the hand-to-hand and for I thank Michonne for putting Aaron's head in the right place. They are the good guys and they'll have to believe in it, otherwise they'll degenerate even further and then there's going be a long time before they new people can conquer the world.

Interesting thing is that if you look into the hushed history and study some of the world artefacts, you'll soon come across the theory that our civilisation wasn't the first. In fact, the scientists has gone and written books about it, and hypothesing that we are sixth generation of survivors on this planet. In the Kirkman's world they would the seventh, and it might be true that in stages they would degenerate, because there's no way for them to keep maintaining the whole infrastructure that used to make the DC area functional. In a way those cities, and their monuments would become real historical artefacts for the seventh generation to explore and learn from, just like we are doing now from those lost ones.

Oh I loved Judith telling her brother about, "Millions of walkers followed the brave man on the bridge..." The look on his face was unbelievable. It was as if he really believed the story, even though there should not have been millions of dead, because then everyone would have been dead.

I loved even more seeing him hiding behind mum's leg, when the space station rescue capsule entered into the atmosphere. Thing is I don't believe anyone would heard the boom of it travelling hypersonic speeds down the gravity well. The disintegration part is more believable and it was spectacularly done. Especially as the event frightened the local populace.

I am going to say it now. I suspect Neegan is going to redeem himself. He might be convict gardener now, but when it comes to making thing hard for in comers, he's the best at laying out fear. Some of the saints were the same thing and they knew how to intimate. Look at Joan d'Arc as for an example.

I apologise if it offends anyone, but Gabriel needed Neegan giving a righteous bollocking to old one eye. He knows Gabriel's past and the sins he committed to his folk. So, raising alert level is good, but you shouldn't go about it like Eugene did. Remember anyone can be listening on the radio!

When the zombies appeared, they should have withdrawn in the distance and let the horde walk into the fire, as rightly those one are close to being dead dry. Fighting them while they fresh wasn't super logical. Same thing applies to Carol showing her face Alpha.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Reedus said Daryl, now acting in a leadership role, is looking to better communicate with Connie and sister Kelly (Angel Theory) — whose hearing is worsening — as both are members of the militia formed in defense against the Whisperers.

“I think it’s great that you see Daryl trying to learn new things and learn how to communicate,” Reedus said. “Both of those characters could definitely help us and so, you know, let’s communicate. And both those actresses are such good actresses, it’s fun. There’s been some ASL that I’ve messed up on set and said a dirty word here or there by accident and they’re like, ‘No,’ and I’m like, ‘What’d I do?’ And they’re like, ‘It’s down here, it’s not up here!’”

Daryl will spend much of his time this season with his best friend, the newly single Carol (Melissa McBride), and the star in recent weeks said Season 10 has “a little bit to say” on a potential ‘Caryl’ romance. With fans calling for a Donnie romance, could we see the long loveless Daryl at the center of a love triangle?

“I think they both are surprised at how well they work together,” Ridloff said when addressing Connie’s dynamic with Daryl during an appearance at PaleyFest Los Angeles in March. “Both of them are leaders ... And obviously we don’t talk much, obviously, I guess I didn’t have to say that [laughs]. So I do think that we definitely make sense as a team and as a duo.”

It's good to see the Survivor Confederacy with a formidable, possibly unifying enemy. I wasn't at all surprised that Carol didn't take cover when Alpha appeared. She has a personal score to settle with the Whisperer-in-Chief. The expression her face said "Bring it on!"

I agree, although the formation made me think of a new high school marching band one week into practicing its routines. I half-expected to see Ragnar Lothbrok popping up as their coach, blowing a whistle and shouting "You call that a shield wall?!"
No doubt they will improve -- or die trying.

As the walkers kept emerging, I was impressed with the size of the crew it took to handle such a small boat. I thought, "What is this, the circus clown car of fishing trawlers?" I suppose this S.S. Minnow might have been carrying a hold full of refugees when the apocalypse struck.

Hey, what about Kirkman's world "is an alternate reality," one without Night of the Living Dead zombies to educate survivors? This could be only the second generation or the 22nd.

I liked their mutually-denying conversation about their"besties" status and running off together. I think neither one wants to ruin such a deep friendship by looking for anything else. Besides, Daryl is sharing parenthood of Dog with Connie.

Yes, especially if they would have cocked a launch. There's a lot of defunctioning hardware up there and Earth is the biggest gravity source in the near space. Totally plausible. It's just you wouldn't find it that intact because the heat in the burn can go easily over three thousand degrees. As that wasn't properly shielded all the way, how can it survive?

I get that it's a story device and it enables Eugene to do his magic, but I would rather them finding a meteorite and locate some science facility for the junk. There's loads of them and if Eugene is really interested in the space stuff, there's a lot of technology companies that work with the space industries in the capital area.

I suspect they are laying lots of groundwork for that plot to continue. I also doubt the satellite wouldn't have had it's paint burnt off, but I've seen more unbelievable things in this series to complain about that.

What I liked about this was that it was a return to developing the character driven stories. I also get that Carol and Daryl are close but are not alike. She can go sailing for weeks on her own. Daryl likes to be alone, but he cannot be cooped up on a boat. Everyone carries scars of seeing the death of friends and loved ones but is trying to move on.

To be honest, the quicker they move on from the Alpha story the better. The whole idea of the Whisperers is at odds with everything else we know about the Walkers. No explanation of how you live among the Walkers and eat, sleep, go to pee etc. never mind everything necessary to give birth. The whole idea is ridiculous. A satellite landing intact is much more likely.

Fear's Alicia may have been the warrior princess, Carol is the warrior queen or queen of the damned even if she has dumped her king but Michonne is the ultimate Amazon, lost sight of that for awhile.

I'm not sure about allowing Judith in the army, surely she is too young. Teach them to fight but away from the front line until at least 15-16.

Don't like the new doctor, too full of himself hopefully when we lose the medic this season it will be him and not Sadiq.

Wonder what Dr Death or to give him his new name Eugenius has in mind for the satellite?

There is going to be a reckoning between Carol and Alpha, think we will be seeing psycho Carol.

As @ctg says, it was metaphorical, but for a moment or two, I was puzzled and thought exactly the same as you.

He is going through some mental trauma, and while I have my own PTSDs I've never summoned a person. But, in the writing, I could. It's just this new doctor was a bit too much of old world for being survivor doctor. If he's the real thing, good for them. Doctors are so valuable, and they also have a short lifespan in the Kirkman's world.

AMC's "The Walking Dead" launched its tenth season last week to the delight of zombie fans everywhere, but the premiere also contained a space junk easter egg that just might be a major plot point for series: a Soviet satellite crashing to Earth.

The episode "Lines We Cross" ends with an old Soviet satellite crashing to Earth as a brilliant daytime fireball. It looses unmistakable sonic booms and a sparks wildfire in enemy territory (watch out for Whisperers!) that the show's heroes must battle to save their hunting grounds.

"We'd been talking the the writers' room about what are different things that happen the more time goes on," executive producer Angela Kang said in AMC's "Talking Dead" recap of the Oct. 6 premiere. "We thought that it would just be like an interesting thing that we haven't dealt with before, and then see what things they can get from the satellite in terms of technology or to help them."

A decent episode to restart on, though I was a bit disappointed after the good reviews. They start the episode wondering when the Whisperers will return (after a somewhat silly training scene) and then end it by encroaching on Whisperers land and seeing Alpha is about. The fire being caused by a crashed satellite was a bit absurd too. Presumably an important item was brought out of it.
But at least it wasn't just a farming episode! Also some interesting possiblities with Carol. And Sadiq could be another doctor destined for a short life..
