A definitely a step up from the last one. In fact, the episode felt to me like an old school TWD episode on the road to Alexandria. I loved that Father Gabriel isn't the only lost pastor in the world, and just like him, Rabbi Kessner had been unable to put his congregation in the ground.
What is the point on not acting, when it's obvious that what should have been done, hasn't. There is no place for the dead inside the living compound. It is asking trouble if you'll do that. Gabriel luckily hadn't locked his lambs inside some church building, as they'd locked him in his church, where Rick came to rescue him. More so the convoy needed their spiritual leader.
Speaking of which, the Fear convoy has made art from setting up the perimeter. Funny fact is the fuel truck being the most important item to be protected inside the circle. It is also the last item to leave, if there is need to abandon the setup.
I loved that they were using everything they'd found to make up fences and defence positions, but it doesn't make sense that they're in a search for a permanent base location. What is the need if this works?
I realise that Fear of Logan's revenge drives them out from the Denim Factory and on the road, but they should also understand that if they encounter a horde, they're going to be overrun without proper walls. So in a way, they'll need the Ner Tamid to rest and organise things. But we'll know that none of the places that looks right has worked in the Fear, while in the TWD the communities build themselves under proper roof over their heads.
I was amazed Jacob hadn't found himself a new group. New people for him to lead in God's way. After all Peter Jacobson is charming. Therefore, it's amazing that he had been all alone for most of this time.
Charlie certainly had fallen into his charm as she was thinking Fear's group could fix everything that's wrong with the Ner Tamid. It surprised me Jacob denied her the pleasure of living inside the temple. To be honest, he should have told from the beginning that the dead was his doing inside the compound.
He should have never given hope to lost girl and lie, because he felt bad. What is interesting is that despite being Rabbi, Jacob couldn't see miracle even though it was standing at front of him at that roof. God does miracles through us. We get connected and helped through other people, God then provides the rest. Things happen if there is a need for them to happen, but before hand, it's hard for us to know when these thing become real.
Jimmy's legacy keeps connecting people, and when you have had no beer forever and again, Jimbo's brew must taste like manna from Heaven. What I don't like is Dwight's new look. Honestly, I really liked his bearded face. It gave him more life than seeing that sleek face with a horrible scar on the side.
Dee admitted he almost lost it during his voyage. That he almost became like the Dead as he watched them wandering around, aimlessly and hungry for the flesh. If John hadn't found him, Dwight have joined them.
Lady Whisperer at the front row. As they are another nomadic tripe besides Fear's runaway group, it makes sense that not all of them made it. A lot of them must have passed on their way to Washington DC and if, according to the rumours they went to Florida for the winter, it's no strange sight to find one of them at Austin, where the scene was located.
Another funny coninsidence you can see Dale's truck again in the background. This time with an AC unit on the roof.
This situation. Outnumbered 2 to 6. Solution, take maps, anything that might lead to the oil field, and walk away. There is no need to fight over the thing. Dwight should have understood it. There is no need to fight for the gas. Just get another tanker and you're golden.
