Skarro. Or Cleveland. They both suck.
To my fellow American members, celebrate the day to the utmost . It's America's birthday.

To those that live in the U.K., hey, sorry things got so nuts a while back. We still love you, mother country; we just had to move out of the Royal basement. George the Third was being a massive d***! Besides, I think India and whooping up on Napoleon worked out well for y'all. So, feel free to stop over and have beer, enjoy the cookout. We're gonna shoot Roman Candles at the French.

That's something both our great nations enjoy equally!

20:00 Hrs. The gunfire has commenced. Staying undercover from the hail of hot lead from random airborne Gunfire. Rousing great sounds from tons of Unsafe and Insane, illegal fireworks.

The big hometown, sanctioned Fireworks display, only a couple miles away, was a day early. Would have been nice to see; but the crowds are too intense and the local cops regard it as an opportunity to shoot DUI's in a barrel. Hah! Wife and self were in bed two hours before dark. (When the big show starts) It's been a long month.

The annual Hoopla on Humboldt Bay is, as usually, notoriously, always obscured by Fog. And Parking is a bitch.

About ready for bed. It's been a long Month.

Going to The Lake next weekend when things calm down a bit.

I'd forgotten the date but as I prepared for my normal morning bike ride, I stuck on the TV and watched the Smithsonian Channel. It was airing a documentary on the origins of the Star Spangled Banner(flag and anthem).

It was most interesting and seems appropriate given the date.

P.S. George had a good excuse for being a massive d*** - he was crazy:)

Happy Birthday - from one vile separatist to a Nation of them.

Was watching the news the other day and learned something new. Apparently (according to your Commander In Chief) the US troops took over all the airports during the war of independence. No wonder you guys won:LOL:

I live in the last place in England ever to be invaded by an enemy.

John Paul Jones in 1778 attacked Whitehaven, during the War of Independence, and had boats full of his men trying to set all the tall ships ablaze.

He was finally formally forgiven in 1999, now the US is allowed one man'o' war per year to freely enter our harbour.

A Scotsman invading England....now who'd have thought it? ;)

He had a big sea battle near here, too :)
