I think this guy is pretty excellent and, if you feel adventurous he does tackle some really weighty subjects in astrophysics and cosmology

However this one, just released, is relatively easy on the brain, I think! And brings us up to speed on some recent findings on galaxies and dark matter.

Thanks, VB. Good stuff. There are just so many unanswered questions out there. I like how science can use even the lack of information to make progress: in this case investigating dark matter by studying the places where there isn't any. Clever folks. The idea of the 'detritus' ejected by quasar jets forming into small galaxies, is nice.

Cheers RJM, it's a pleasure to pass on good stuff like this.

What I like about the channel is that he's 'pretty close to the coal face'. So was, in this case, looking at a paper that was published and explaining why it's quite important and all the connections and history that it has. He also is pretty good at giving some really big concepts a nice explaining too. (Although, for example, the Hologram universe one, I do need multiple viewings to get my head around it!) I particularly enjoyed the 'Sound waves from the beginning of time' episode he did quite recently.

Also, although I do know he's coming from a certain place, in terms of what he believes is current 'correct' science, he does look at alternatives and give them a reasonable shot, I feel.
