Discussion -- February 2018 75-word Challenge

Victoria, I had to look twice then double check both looks. I didn't have much hope for my story, but now! Great expectations!
Thanks for the vote and thanks for making my day, no, my week.

@HazelRah .... The Price of Protection .... The goddess can be a real stickler for the rules.

@Jo Zebedee .... STANDING ON MY OWN TWO FEET ....
Life's tough when you've got to be better than the gods.

@Phyrebrat .... Ammit Abides .... When you feed on the dead you never lack for food.

@AnyaKimlin .... Irritable Planetary Syndrome .... Even the gods live by the rule that you are what you eat.

@monsterchic .... Fear .... When you are the goddess of fear the world is a fearful place.

Welcome back monsterchic, long time no see!

I was surprised to see that we made 45 posts. I guess I have too little faith in the writers of Chrons.

I found some definite favourites among this month’s stories:
The End @Appello
I’ll tell them where they can hang it @Luiglin
Rebranding @Shyrka
So sayeth the slug @CTRandall
Thunderstruck @paranoid marvin
Tweet Loud Enough the God Can Hear @Stable
Standing on my own two feet @Jo Zebedee
(A few others were vetoed by the Goddess of Punctuation.)

I thought Radiant Nudge by @D.A. Xiaolin Spires was a perfect cameo. Almost a vote.

I voted for Faster, Pussycat. Thank you @TheDustyZebra. Not only did your story capture the essence of cat for me, it also reminded me of my Siamese, who used to nudge items off bench tops and watch them fall when he thought that life was becoming a little dull. (And no, I’m not talking about the essence of cat with which he’d occasionally decorate the furniture!)

Got your voting done for this challenge and not sure what to do with your next couple days? Why not check out the 100 Word Anonymous Challenge over in the Workshop? All are welcome to cast their votes, and particularly enterprising individuals can guess which author penned which story. Cast your vote today!

Or indeed in the Stripey One’s ability to kick us into action on Facebook with one hour to go. She can be scary...

Every good story

He clinked his immoral ale watching his brother intently. His brother was a marvel of godliness perfect white beard flowing locks, muscles, the whole nine yards.

“You see Joule every story starts with a damsel,” He said. Pointing at an unbelievable beauty, “Now you start your own story. Go on talk to her.”

“Remember brother.” He called after him, “Every good moral story starts with: ‘a god got laid.’” He laughed shoulders dancing with glee.

I didn't realise I missed the cut off but I'll post my idea for fun.
