I just came across this video interview with Weber on Safehold. Actually it's not really an interview; it's a monologue from Weber with the interviewer just listening (why doesn't that surprise me :D)

A couple of key points around the 15:55 mark are of interest:
"At the Sign of Triumph is not, as some people seem to think it was supposed to be, the end point of the series. Hopefully I'll do the next four or five (!!!!!!!!!!!) and then get them into space to go after the Gbaba and then wrap that up in about three books."

(some paraphrasing there)

He goes on to say he's no spring chicken and considers options if it doesn't look like he's going to finish them in his lifetime, including maybe handing over to another author....

He also says the current book he's working on is Uncompromising Honor; the next HH book.

Don't have time to look at this now. But that is good information and about what I expected. I do like the title of the HH book. "Uncompromising Honor" has a very good sound to it.

I'll get back to this and let you know if anything else strikes me.

Just as long as it actually progresses the main storyline, and isn't a rehash of the last three books told from yet another POV..

And I never thought for a moment that ATSOT would be the last Safehold book -especially as the
Things Under the Temple
weren't explained...

After listening to that "interview," I now understand why his books run 700 or more pages. So I guess at least there is a plan to get back up to space. But the way he's talking I think his energy is running down (Us 65+ year-olds understand that) and I doubt we will see the end of the series unless someone else writes it.

That was my distinct impression as well. And yes he wasn't exactly concise in the interview was he?
