Sad to say the veteran rock n roller has died at home in Missouri.

"Johnny B Goode" was a highlight of Back to the Future.

RIP sir.

He was still touring, wasn't he? I was hoping to catch him next time in the UK, but he hadn't been for a few years. He had his first new album in 30-40 years due too, so that will be interesting to hear.

One of the most important musicians and songwriters of the past hundred years, in my opinion. No Particular Place To Go is my favourite of his.

RIP to a true musical legend, historical figure in modern music, personally my taste in american music is before his time, classic jazz, blues singers but i must say other than his music, career that this is one of the best live performances, dance moves i have seen:

Yes, the duckwalk, he did it better than pro dancers hired to back him. They made a mess outa Chuck, last I saw him he was playing at a parking lot. Local guys were hired to back him, and he barely even talked to them. What you got, on stage, maybe, was 'G' or "E', then the song started. If you didn't know Chuck Berry songs, you dint know nuttin'. All dead simple, his material is still way cool because he had taste and style and sexy guitar moves before Jimi or anyone. He was the KING of Rock and Roll; winning a fistfight with Jerry Lee, in a back alley, to consolidate that.

I was away today, and unable to connect.
So appalled to come home to find this.

So sorry.

Mind you. 90 is a good age.
If I last that long I'll be surprised.

Well he is tributed at every jam, and he will be again tonite. Personally my fave was always Nadine.

Everyone told Chuck stories last night, a few guys were there who played with him, in the 80s. Many people played with him, he used pickup players, and demanded cash before he would step on stage. He rarely spoke to the musicians hired. One drummer described the curtain going up, and he said: 'What song are we playing?' and Chuck yelled out 'Chuck Berry' and started on Johnny B Goode, which was played last nite, in his honor, for the umteen-millionth time. And then a fight started in the club.
