Gaslamp fantasy is Edwardian or Victorian fantasy, often with a gothic, romantic or horrific edge to it. The example used on Wiki is Bram Stoker's Dracula, and they separate GLF from Steampunk.

but, i have an idea. maybe. might even try to get close to the genre this month

Ok, not bad. A good setting for Christmas for those of us that way inclined, which is good news for Hex (As Bowler1 holsters his gun for the first time in days (I have them in hand even when I'm sleeping, but I get a good discount on new beds in the local furniture store)). I have no ideas yet, not even glimmer, but I'm happy with the theme.
