Is it just me or does anybody else read the name of this thread in Bane's voice?

Ah! So you have read The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox? I just loved the series. It had me in stitches!

I read that book Id just forgotten it was part of a series.:unsure:

Here's are two more The High House and it sequel The False House both by James Stoddard

Story Concept : Imagine a mansion so large it spans other dimensions, each hall is a road that takes you to other worlds and behind each Door a world. The person who rules t is called The Lord of the Manor and the only way he can rule the mansion id if he has in his possession the keys to all the doors to all of the various worlds. :)
 
And the Devil Will Drag You Under by Jack Chalker A Comic fantasy novel and it's hilarious. :)

When I read that description, my first thought was , "Ah! The Library (From the Unseen University) :D. Or Maybe the House at the End of the World (The Redemption of Althalus)

Terry Pratchett ? Then you might find James Branch Cabell's comic fantasy novel Jurgen to be of interest written 1919 it was banned in Boston and New York. Cabel was the Terry Pratchett of his era wrote 50 fantasy novels. He was a master of Ironic humor Most famous Quote

" The optimist Proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds and the pessimist fears that this is true"

There is whole sub forum here devoted to Cabell:D

Also Tom Holt's Novel Flying Dutch is a real hoot . In concern the The Flying Dutchman , It captain and Crew . Is of the wall comically funny.:D

I have heard of the Flying Dutch man.. haven't read it though.... :)

Just a recommendation on a recommendation.. Raymond Fiest... if you can't get through the whole recluse series I highly suggest you try at the minimum "Towers of Sunset" which I believe is the 2nd book. You can read it as a stand alone or continue the series afterwards but personally it's the only recluse book I've reread over and overy again.

I read the first two books of the Recluse series... they were good!
