Kepler Telescope confirms at least 100 earth-like planets discovered

And the nearest dangerous ET population? Lots solar systems are millions/billions years older'n us.. must be running out of food by now... wot's that in the sky... ah, the neighbors... andaieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* )

Now all we have to do come up with a ship that can do near light speed with multigenerational capacity.

20% of light speed plus 300 year lifespans and cold sleep would work.

Kepler space telescope spots 1,284 new planets

Quite an achievement. Think what we will find with Webb telescope! (Mirror is assembled).

More planets than stars. There is no reason to suppose the Universe or Milky Way galaxy is human-centric, so it would seem very odd if the galaxy isn't teaming with life.

Spectroscopy with bigger space telescopes, not radio or probes, is the way to spot industrial civilisations.

You have to wonder about any science fiction/fantasy that ETs are writing and reading these days.. must be pretty far-out stuff.

Maybe ETs don't write fantasy. But if they are about to invade they must write science fiction.
