I could have gone without the '80s changing clothes montage but the rest of Barry making saves during his date was kind of funny. Glad to see more of Firestorm's origin. Carlos Valdes and Jesse L. Martin have pretty good on screen chemistry together and I liked seeing them work the Nora Allen murder case. Now we know that Barry's Kryptonite is the ghost chili pepper. Wow great ending.

And the plot thickens as the blood at Nora Allen's murder scene turns out to be Barry's blood! Whoa...

Oh my days that was good. I'm so sorry about another late night review, but I had to do something while I waited for the sumatriptan to kill my migraine. So I watched the Flash even though I know Mrs is going to be grumpy for me watching without her. But I couldn't and what a reward. Everything was so amazing.

I know it sounds corny from coming me but I have to say that the Flash reinvigorates me more than Arrow. And that's saying something as I know I've claimed it to be the best thing since sliced bread. But ... this series is become just so good. Then again, past two years has seen more scifi than ever before. And it's good. It's very, very good as these two series are setting a blueprint for everyone to follow, and I wouldn't be surprised if Flash wouldn't acclaim fame among the geeks.

Then again I would be lying if I would claim that there are people out there that aren't as deep anoraks as we are. They might have never read the comics, or watched the original series. Nevertheless they are the kind of people that CW would claim to be a fringe group for this series when the fact couldn't be much different. The Flash is a series that I can recommend to all kind of people.

Not just because of the glorious explosion and Barry speeding at front of the blast wave.

I cannot wait for the next episode.

Did it really surprise you? I thought it became quite evident when we saw the reverse flash that both of them were there and they were fighting over Barry's mother. But what surprised me was the sacrifice that Dr Wells made to help Firestorm. Question is: does it work, and if so, can it regulate power of one of most powerful metahumans we've so far met, minus the Superman of course.

The high school kids I'm teaching (I am an English language tutor) are finishing the first season of Sleepy Hollow and I may just choose The Flash to be the next series they watch (they have to discuss each episode in class and write a review of every episode).

I wonder when they will deal with the time travel angle with Barry's mom and why it happens. It seems like something that would take place a few season from now because Barry's speed level is still not fast enough.

I'm really surprised that we didn't get anything from Dr Wells in the past.

However, I found the pseudo-science in this episode incredibly grating - using the mirror to recreate holograms from the past, discovering 20 year old blood samples that were forensically useful, and the issue of splitting one human being into two was treated as almost routine.

The explosion at the end was a surprise, though!
