Errata for the B&N volume

I've just been informed that corrections for all of "your" errors will be in the 4th printing which should be in stores in October, Fiorina 161.

Did they mention a cutoff date for corrections? I'm still working my way through this volume!

No, Stefan didn't mention any deadline, but I got the impression when I dropped the first batch of your corrections on him that he was uncertain whether there would be time to insert them. However, he has also told me that this is a work in progress, and that any corrections that don't make it this time WILL make it into the next printing.

Hi all! After a loooong break, I have resumed checking the 2011 edition. Good news is no more typos I've noticed until this one:

189.12: the thing they noticed with the monster’s face was cleaned] the thing they noticed when the monster’s face was cleaned

Thanks, Fiorina161! I've just e-mailed Stefan about it!

That was my first time reading the infamous Reanimator, and oh lord, will it be my last :p

Found another in The Hound:

216.21: the abhorred practice of grave-robing]
the abhorred practice of grave-robbing

From The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath:

417.2: Only by constantly smoking stong thagweed] Only by constantly smoking strong thagweed

422.3: It was the mignight yell of the cat] It was the midnight yell of the cat
425.23: The next day they spoke a ship with violet sails] The next day they spoke with a ship with violet sails

Thanks!
I'm not sure about the last one -- I think I checked it at the time and found that "speak" could be used that way in an archaic sense.

Ah, okay. I checked against another text online that had "with", so I listed it. I'll try and finish Kadath today and move on to the next story. Fingers crossed there's no new typos, real or mistaken :p

Yeah, I noticed that the H. P. Lovecraft Archive -- usually an extremely reliable source -- has this wording.

Keep up the good work! It's important! :)

Hi all - Beginning a reading of the complete fiction for the first time in many years. I've found an additional typo in the corrected 2011 printing. From “The Street”:
66.39: Its trees wee all gone now,] Its trees were all gone now,

Thanks, Greg! Well spotted!

Hi -
Spotted what appears to be an unreported typo in "The Doom That Came To Sarnath":
70.8: Very odd and ugly where these beings,] Very odd and ugly were these beings,

Greg
