Jim Butcher is actually travelling around hitting several conventions this year.

This weekend, he'll be at StellarCon in High Point, NC!

I'll be stalking him... I mean... seeing him there. :)

Later this month, he'll be at ICon in New York

You can find a list of other events he'll be attending HERE.

The man is a riot and totally down-to-Earth! Just don't let him talk you into invading an IHOP! :)

Has he ever been at Dragoncon in Atlanta in September? That is the one I went to last year (before I discovered his books, unfortunately).

Have you ever been to that one? Wow, it is AWESOME!!! But whatever you do, don't try to get tickets on Saturday. The line is 4 hours long. No kidding, and my feet and back can testify to that. Get tickets on Friday or preregister for a 2-day pass ($80), even if you only plan to go for one day (they won't let you preregister for one day, hence the problem). Well, worth it...and no one wants to stand in line in downtown Atlanta on concrete on a Saturday in sweltering September heat for 4 hours for a one day pass at $40 each. Trust me! ;)

Jim has been to D*C - a couple years back, he even met James Marsters - and from what I understand, it was a quickly made arrangement when the two had a break at the same time and they got to chat for a bit. *g*

I don't know if Jim has plans to go again - I don't think he'll be there this year (tho *I* am planning to go), but sometimes, we never know. ;)

we're looking forward to welcoming jim (and shannon) to phauxcon in october.

*peers at map*

*sees that 'midwest' is beyond the budget of this 'east coast' fan's economy and pouts mightily*

alas - no getting to have a book signed during this tour...

Sadly I won't be able to make any of them either as they are all scheduled during the work week. :(

Ahhh - well, yeah, that's a little different.

See, me, I'd take a half-day off work and go to Chicago ... you know, if I lived 3 hours away and had a steady income. XD

East Coast peeps -

Marscon is happening in January in Williamsburg, VA - for anyone who can swing a trip in that direction. =)

Jim will be at DragonCon this year... next weekend... if anyone's planning to be there.

I won't be - I've done D*C twice and that was plenty.
