Ok so i read the twilight saga(other than Breaking Dawn) cant wait for that and i also read the imortal insterments. I cant find anything better than that. Ive read the twilight saga 5-6 times. please help me.;):D

My best friend LOVES Twilight and is reading The Host at the moment its huge! She never stops talking about it! I'm going to borrow Twilight from her and read it. She told me Twilight is coming to cinemas in December. Julie Bertagna is very good but there are millions and trillions of books out there! just look and try and find something. Libraries are a good option :)

Twilight is good but im afraid they will slaughter the movie so i dont know if i will even watch it. And i think the series is MORTAL instruments and those are really good too.

I read all the books Stephenie meyer (except breaking dawn) and I think they are fantastic, especially Twilight.:)

I've just bought Twilight. Loads of my friends have recommended it to me, so I decided it was a good buy! Am going to read it soon after the book I'm reading.

My favs (recommendations) -> Mark Robson, Eva Ibbotson, Anna Godbersen (American writer - The Luxe) and Malorie Blackman.

Can't wait to read the series - is going to be great! :D

Just a note about Twilight Saga and The Host. These books -- and I'll admit that I enjoyed reading them -- are really about sex. No, it's true. The main characters abstain, but the truth of the matter is that it's still what the books are focused on.

:)

"Young adult" seems to be a pretty loose category to put the Twilight books in, I'd say. It's not the same as recommending, say, the Narnia books to someone. Just a heads-up for anybody interested in reading these books.

Also, the dialogue starts to get repetitive.

Lillyana I think you are wrong :) (with all due respect)

Twilight is a love story. I admit that the fourth book has a lot of sex, but the Twilight Saga is about a girl and a boy (vampire) that fight really hard against all odds that try to set them apart. It is a romantic story between a human and a vampire that stay together even though mortality, immortality, reality, and fantasy are against their strong relationship. Really, NO SEX involved until the end of the saga (It would not be a good love story for YA if it did not have any sexual tension from time to time)

Narnia, in my opinion, is a child's book. I am 16 years old and see no fun in reading Narnia, except for the fictitious cool representations that it offers.

Not saying that. Just saying that it is spice for the food.

They are OK books. My daughter reads them, I read some of one of them. Almost makes me weep for the youth of today. Its such a social phenomena now.

Anne Rice and Laurell K Hamilton are way better, IMO.

But I was just contradicting what had been said about the Twilight Saga being just about SEX. :(

I'm just speaking in general....smile....its prettier.....

No, its not just about sex. Its One Tree Hill, with vampires.

I wouldn't recommend Anne Rice to my kids though. Well, if they were in the later teens perhaps, but not until long after we'd had the birds and the bees talk. I can think of a half dozen scenes from Rice books that are just... weird.

The Mayfair Witch books are a good example. The first one opens with a 14 year old seducing her uncle.

Oooooh I loved Twilight!!!! I only started reading them because everyone made such a big deal over them so I decided to see what all the fuss was about!

I remember reading the book and thinking that it was just a tad boring, and before I knew it I was sucked into the romance storyline!!!

I would totally recommend this book!!

I havent read Twilight and I doubt very seriously if I will. I am so sick and tired of vampires. It's all anybody seems to be writing about these days. Gods, give me a break. Can't even look at the book shelves in Wal-Mart these days without seeing them everywhere. Ever since Anne Rice gave vampires personalities it seems everybody has had to jump on the bloodsucker bandwagon. There are other interesting supernatural creatures you know. The one that jumps to mind that doesnt seem to get much page time these days are the fey. Maybe 2 or 3 writers writing about them. Give vampires a break... or a much needed stake.
