Ive read that and the whole book, it excellent stuff

He also dId a sequel The Humanoid Touch

Ans some years. ago Rodger Zelazny did an Anthony The Williamson Effect which features stories by other other authors that were follow up to some of Willians classic stories. Among them is the story Bad Machines by Fred Saberhagen in which the Humanoid encounter The Berserkers which contingent of human soldiers from Earth caught in the middle
