I really like this series - contemporary rural fantasy in UK, main character is half dryad and a carpenter and woodcarver. Each book is a different mystery/thriller with ordinary human characters and people and creatures from folklore. There is an overlying story arc from his personal life - he wants to know more about being half dryad and to meet others like him.
