Neat. So it looks like this UV nightglow was known about previously, but now with MAVEN they've mapped it better and linked it to atmospheric cycles. Now I'm wondering what the transmittance spectrum of the Martian atmosphere is like, and whether anything that might have evolved there would have seen in UV...
