An interesting article on how new techniques are improving the images from the Hubble Telescope. Check out the 3D flythrough of the pillars of creation. Now, I’m no believer in god but if He/She does happen to exist, it’s got great taste in filling our universe with marvels such as this:)

That's just brilliant. Was I the only one humming the Star Trek theme through it? :D

The speed of the camera is astonishing, though - I wonder if they calculated a rate. Obviously a big multiple of light speed.

I did keep expecting it to kick in. The notes are very much the opening to Trek and the view as well... half expected some NASA geek to throw in a tiny Enterprise zipping by :)
