(Found) looking for title/author of a sci fi short story

Sci fi short story in a hard cover anthology-different authors I think. Characters are bits of code that have become sentient, form tribes for dominance and survival against rivals. Individual bits have different traits and personalities, as do the various tribes. Thoughts and actions occur at ~ speed of light. Humans have implanted ports the code bits can access and control the humans who are little more than droids.
 
Eureka! (I found it). The story is The Trojan Girl by N.K. Jemisin. It is in her collection How Long Til Black Future Month. Wonderful book. Loved the Trojan Girl.
