Dealers's room book sales

Just wondered - have any of you tried selling your own works in the dealer's room at any of the UK's SF and Fanyasy conventions? And how did it go?
Last time I went to Edge-Lit there were quite a number of indie authors with stalls in the dealer's room.

Last time I went to Edge-Lit there were quite a number of indie authors with stalls in the dealer's room.

Most of the conventions will have a book store partner who will allow indies to be stocked there (for a percentage of the cover price). Having said that most tables are reasonably cheap and, if it’s a busy convention with a well placed dealers’ room, and it’s not too much of a gamble - but most authors would share a table rather than try to cover the cost of a table off just their own sales
