It starts with the white man and his wife getting a puncture. The autochanger repairs it. Then there are more punctures due to caltraps.
They abandon the car but later it passes them.
Setting is Africa. Perhaps East & West have annihilated each other since the rich white tourists arrived and are now of "no account". Only their goods have value, not their dollars.
