There are many awards around for TV shows, but some have more value to the people behind the shows these could be the ones voted for by the public and possibly the critics too.
This is why the team behind the hit show Battlestar Galactica should be pleased to have been awarded with the 2009 Television Critics Association Award for Program of the Year.
The series came to end this year, although there are plans for prequel TV films and a series in the pipeline, so fans will not have to give up on it just yet.
Battlestar Galactica had some tough competition in this category such as Lost and Mad Men.
The award is in its 25th year, the TV Critics Association represents around two hundred TV critics throughout the US and Canada.
