For a while now there has been talk of a fourth Underworld film, this would be following on the rise of the vampire in both film and on the TV.
A fourth film was always going to be inevitable especially as series like True Blood and films such as Twilight and Daybreakers have brought the vampire race to front of the sci-fi horror sector.
Just to make sure that the rumour of Underworld 4 is real and not just an opportunity to test the water, the producer Len Wiseman has brought on board The Shield writer John Hlavin.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fourth visit to Underworld will not a prequel like the third film, so we can expect to see a contemporary film.
Would that mean the return of Len Wisemans wife, Kate Beckinsale to her role?
