Character Creation Chain

General Jonathan Nicolson

When it All Went Wrong and the pitiful remnants of humanity still left in Western Europe were struggling to survive in the radiation blasted rubble of the cities and towns, a series of edicts were discovered, all of which had been pinned to the walls of crumbled Town Halls from Ireland to Italy on the night of the twenty ninth of February 2017.

Scrawled on grubby, waxed pieces of paper and signed off in the name of General John Nicolson, these edicts announced the imminent arrival of the Regiment of the New Dawn, who would impose military law "for the good governance of the people and for the restitution of the fallen models of parliamentary democracy."

Each town was ordered to deliver up a tithe of what little resources its occupants had scrimped together as "payment or billet for the men and women of the Regiment." Tithes were to be made ready for collection on the first of April, failing which the Regiment would treat those who defied them as "unlawful humans".

But the people of Bruges refused to pay. Instead, as the deadline day drew near, they decided to trust in the wisdom of their leader, the redoubtable idiot savant known as

Jan Der Koninck

Jan Der Koninck

Jan is not the kind of person who take s*** from anyone. A former Russian military command he has the fear and respect of just about all of the Russian government. He retired to the town of Bruges and thought he could live out his days peacefully. Gen. John Nicholson had different ideas. When Jan heard that the General wanted tithes from the already impoverished people he decided to fight back.

Dimineleniel

Dimineleniel

Everybody in the Osirian knew her as a sweet little girl with no last name. 8 years old, skinny, black hair and matching eyes, she was often seen sitting on the highest tower of the city, watching over it.
Her "parents" were two powerfull wizards, Shayla Lotrien and Daemon Targar, but the Harpy killed them nevertheless. After that, Orpheus Nazgul took her under his roof.
From early childhood, Dimineleniel shown incredible powers, with great abillity to forgive, as when she soothed fire in magic shool that harpy started during fight and saved teacher (that often beat her because of jealousy) from flames.
Even though she had great powers, she was never a show off. Citizens of Osirian would mostly see her sitting near the river Danubius, her innocent black eyes lost in a distance. No one wanted to disturb her when she did that, since the last one who did it, Nigel Thorpe, got all her feelings and sadness from her and tried to suicide by jumping in the same river. She saved him of course, freezing fast river and walking to him. After that they become good friends.
One day, 4 years after the death of her "parents", Dimineleniel was sitting near the Danubius river as usual, when two avians flew by, male and female. She felt sudden urge to fly, strong sense of belonging, and she did, sprouting black wings from her back. No one has ever seen her again, but the story says that she finally found her true family and, as Nigel Thorpe would always point out at the end of it, her last name.

Joan Patronus

Joan Patronus

Everyone who knew Joan knew her as a rather harmless elderly lady; a woman with a cheerful disposition despite her frailties and famous for walking everywhere, rather than taking the bus, but she hid a rather unusual past. She wrote it all down in her diary, knowing that at some point after her death (may it not be too soon yet, she prayed!) that it would come in handy to someone. Especially to the nice gentleman who had visited her a few years ago, what was his name? The writer who was researching all those mysteries disappearances fifty or so years ago.

Etsuko Yaeda

Robb Harmen

Robb Harmen was being touted as the next big thing to hit the music scene. He had it all: looks, charisma, talent, and even a well grounded personality, something lacking from some musicians in the genre. Everyone who knew him said he had a charmed life, whilst all his fans said that he was the closest thing to perfection that they had ever seen. Only his mother, who had been a singer herself but was denied success due to certain events, knew what would truly lay in store for him. She wanted him to have the success that she never knew, and she made a deal before her son was born.

A deal which was soon to be completed.

Alexandra Lloyd

Alexandra Lloyd

One minor hit in the 1960's had been all that Alexandra had ever managed. She might have done more, but a combination of becoming pregnant with Robb, a spell in rehab and someone else beating her to "As Tears Go By" had sealed her fate. Line up appearances on "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" was all she could hope for. So she had done the deal for Robb.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. But now, eighteen years later, she was less sure. The crossroads was lonely and cold and she sheltered under an ash tree to ward off the worst of the snow. In her hand she clutched the contract, written on some sort of dried skin and signed in blood.

The Citizens Advice had referred her to a lawyer, but she hadn't been able to spot any inconsistencies in the contract. "It's tightly drafted - a professional job" she had been told. "But what's the worse thing that can happen if you default?"

She heard the sound of footfalls and the tapping of a stick from further down the lane and saw a dark shape emerging from the blizzard. Sweating despite the freezing cold, she fingered the crucifix around her neck...

The Great Horatio

The Great Horatio nearly slipped again. "Curse you Demon" he muttered as he regained his balance. Ahead the woman was just visible in the blizzard. Why oh why did the Demon always pull a sick one, or was held up in traffic, or was called away suspiciously on the freezing cold days, leaving The Great Horatio alone to collect the souls? The Great Horatio snuffled his long thin nose miserably, he may have a lucrative career as a magician now thanks to his own contract, but at what cost to his health?

And that Lloyd woman up ahead looked grimly determined to hold onto her own soul... Oh damn you demon. Damn you:

William Peter Forester

William Peter Forester

A writer of some note, his speciality was mystery novels. He had been researching for some years now the mysterious disappearance of three children who had disappeared from a playground some 50 years ago.

They had left their home and gone to the nearby playground. The last person to have seen them had been a young woman named "Joan Patronus", who had claimed to have been walking her dog past the playground where the children were playing. However they had not been alone she claimed but in the company of a middle aged woman, she had thought had been their mother, yet when questioned their mother maintained she had been at home hanging out the washing and other household chores.

William always thought that Joan had been an honest person but that she had not told all she knew. He had questioned her several times over the years but had not learned anything new, she had always stuck to her oroginal story.

The children had never returned home and had not been seen again. Their names were

Elizabeth, Michael and Millicent Sturgeous.

Not cool, not cool at all:( You are not supposed to do that tangaloomababe.
Elizabeth, Michael and Millicent Sturgeous

All three had blue eyes and blond hair. Elizabeth, Michael and Millicent had 11, 9 and 7 years respectively. They were playing once on children playground then dissapeared (see what I mean?:p)never to be seen again. There were weird stories surrounding their dissapearance, mostly coming from old woman named Joan Patronus. "One would say that they were angels and went to heaven when the father called them. Other say exactly the opposite, they were demon's seed and the God burned them with lightning. Some say that Elizabeth run away with famous rock musician and took her brother and sister with them because mother punished them too harshly, using switch and cane whenever they would make tiniest of mistakes. Other say the opposite, they got bored from overprotective mother and joined the sect, young one's following their sister. And some say that the Elizabeth fell in love with waiter and run away with him, also taking her brother and sister. Brother became sailor and sister actress. Or waitress, cook and dancer. That would be 5 golden dragons." blond waitress said to William, finishing her story.

Daemon Targar (just kidding;)) actually I want to post the name of
Lia Kralj

Sorry Stormy but I think you did a good job and in essence I really wanted to know what happened to them from someone else's eyes. promise to be good in future.

Lia Kralj

With a name like Lia Kralj printed on a card people got the impression you were strong, tough and able to take care of yourself, perhaps you were a PI or a martial arts expert or something equally exciting.

But................. this was not the case for our Lia Kralj. No Lia's business card read as follows

Lia Kralj
Dental Surgeon.

Not that Lia hated being a dentist after all her father and mother had both been dentists as had her grandparents and aunts and uncles, so when Lia suggested perhaps training to be somthing other than a dentist all her relatives had laughed and scoffed at the idea and assumed she was just playing a joke with them and in the end she had accepted her fate and become a dentist to.

However Lia still dreamed of excitement and when the young couple had come in to book their three children for dental appointements she had been suspicious, after all they looked far to young to have children that age and the children looked nothing like them at all. They also seemed somewhat uncomfotable in their presence.
Lia resumed her extraction of Mrs X's teeth pondering the odd couples relationship to their alien looking children, determined to find out more when she saw them.

Mrs X.

Mrs. X
When X joined MIB("Men in black" which she always thought was sexist name) no one told her that she will take care of alien children. So, when Z called her to give her a mission, she was completely surprised to find out that her mission was to actually act like mother for 3 baby Ithesians, who actually looked much like human children, that were left alone on Earth by their parents. Reason for their parents to leave was simple, they couldn't find job on Earth. Why oh why couldn't their father accept to work as cab driver in New York when so many other aliens were happy to work that? Why oh why couldn't their mother accept to work as waitress? That was nice job, no one was carefully looking at cab drivers and waitresses.
It was a good thing the children were well behaved, although their habit of eating bugs was getting kinda annoying. At least she didn't have problem with cockroaches in her home. She started to actually like them, Betty, Milly and young always-so-curious Mike, but it was really hard to be a parent to alien children, especially if you had to zap every doctor to clean their memory after childrens visits.

"Why me? Why not J or K but me?" X cried, while the children were sleeping, satiated after visit to the dentist. Their toothache finally stopped.
"Did you just called me?" asked Y, her partner on this mission.

Wizard Shayla Lotrien (look what you made me do;))

The wizard Shayla Lotrien (Fourth Era, 1341-2021) known to her confidants as Shay and her enemies as Darkheart, was one of the most powerful and ruthless of the Ten, those magicians whose reign of terror plunged the world into an age of darkness for seven centuries. Short of stature, slender and dark featured, it is said Lotrien was comely but ever cold to look upon, and locked forever in a stormy mood. Her lover Taroj n'Helion was the only man able to calm her when she flew into a rage, which was, unfortunately for those mortals around, a frequent occurence. Shortly after n'Helion fell to Lord Ammanas Arakind's god-forged blade Mage-bane, Lotrien sacrificed herself in the Battle of Thoren Kaal, destroying fourteen legions of Kaalese Immortals in a fatal conflagration of power that allowed her two living compatriots from the Ten to escape. Her sacrifice was in vain - both Ti Tian and Bran Arakind were hunted down within days of her death and summarily executed. The reign of the Ten came to an end. Bards still sing of Lotrien, though their tales of love and sacrifice little resemble the truth of her bloody and merciless existence.

Atreus ap Athaen

Atreus ap Athaen

Atreus ap Athaen was, quite simply, the best warrior that the empire had ever seen. Feared for his skill with a blade, he rose to fame during the Athaen War of Succession, a minor noble of the house of the same name, but fast became the leader for his acts. Two families of the Athaen bloodline both declared that they should be emperor of the land, and their armies fought for them.

Until he was betrayed by his closest friend.

When the final enemy had hit the floor, dead, his friend declared Atreus a traitor and had him imprisoned, in spite of his actions during the war between factions. Now, he sits in a dungeon beneath the city he loved, waiting for the right time to get his revenge.

Andrea Ferrara

Andrea Ferrara

had once been the most beautiful woman in the world, not an exageration. Andrea knew she was beautiful and used her beauty to gain a better place in life. She had married an old but powerful nobleman. She had gained all she wanted, a fine lifestyle, and a bonus in that she took the old nobleman's grandson as her lover.

However Andrea grew careless and trusted the wrong people, she was betrayed to the nobleman by one of her maids and thrown into jail. Her mind festers on revenge and it is in jail that she meets Atreus ap Athaen (also bent on revenge) and ....

Miles Kavendish

Miles Kavendish
Great grandson of Shayla Lotrien, the name of Miles Kavendish would be forever remembered by this reference- "Avian slayer". His daughter was elemental mage, Shayla Kavendish and his son-in-law was Daemon Targar, mage that saw the things as they were, that saw the soul of people and things.

As usual with self fullfilling prophecies, Miles's story goes something like this: When Miles was young, he heard the prophet that said he will lose his soul and end in Hell because of Avian. Being the mighty mage he was, he sweared he will kill all Avians so the prophecy never fullfills. And he kept his vow for
years, never thinking that destroying a race is a crime bigger than many other crimes.Until one time...

Avian's thought they were safe in their air garden. How stupid could they be! No air was safe for the mage so powerfull to control the winds and fly on them! He killed them all with ease, enjoying their screams. But these were braver then the rest of their race, fighting 'till the end, all twenty five of them dying with "I will protect" or some crap like that on their lips. "You'll protect what, corpse?" he mocked, killing them.

He found his answer soon enough when he entered the last room. It had only wooden craddle in there, on which was written "Dimineleniel" with golden letters and young Avian baby, barely a hatchling, sleeping in it. He rose his staff to kill her, as he killed many of Avian babies, when the girl opened her eyes and he saw his soul in them, dark and corrupted as it was and bursted into tears, 'cause he now understood what he had done. He tried to kill the girl many times in drunken madness, but couldn't force himself to do it.

He gave the girl to his daughter, who changed the last name to Lotrien after hearing song about her great grandmother from a bard, then moved to city of Osirian to take care of girl with her husband. Miles never killed an avian again. He died alone, on his house on the cliff when two Avians flew by, not noticing him.

Mirro Tyressian

Mirro Tyressian was a baby smuggler, perhaps not the most honest professional but certinaly a very lucrative one. Mirro was also a man of man bad habbits, most very expensive and so baby smuggling helped to pay for those habbits.

Mirro however was down on his luck, a couple of his shady deals had gone bad and his gambling habbits were excessive.

When the middle aged couple came to him wanting a girl, Mirro instantly thought of his new neighbours. Recently moved to Osirian, Shayla Kavendish and Daemon Targar had an exceptionally beautiful daughter, one that would suit his needs. She had the most beautiful eyes and golden hair. He could get a high price for her.

Mirro decided it was time to meet his neighbours.................................................

Shayla Lotrien

Culhwch. I had no idea she had been done before, I was just improvising from Young Stormlord's previous post......... I don't think anyone could make her more interesting, my apologies.......

Ok new neighbour, next door to Mirro Tyressian

Amber Winterhaven Rice.

Name Shayla Lotrien must be getting quite popular:p Back to business.
Amber Winterhaven Rice
Daughter of Darkoncity's second most fearsome dragon rider (nobody remembers the second, people remember only first one, and nobody knows where Darkoncity is anyway. that's why they moved to Osirian in first place!), Amber Rice was tied with dragons the moment she was born, in the middle of winter. To check if his wife was faithfull and Amber was truly his daughter, Corashan Rice gave his newborn baby to his female dragon, Winterhaven, that had hatchlings of her own on that time. Instead to eat her, as Corashan feared she would, Winterhaven licked little Rice and put her to nest where her new hatched dragons were making their first steps, bonding Amber's life to theirs forever.
So, when the girl screamed in the middle of the night, it was five dragons that came to her aid, burning unlucky baby snatcher to ashes.

Amber's best friend was...
