Everyone is sleeping on Gaise Macon after he gets the powers of Cernunnos.

If that doesn't count then Rage in his prime if they cant use powers.

Also I'm curious what the outcome of Helikaon vs Achilles or Helikaon vs Argurios would have been. It could have been written then scraped.

Grr, damn Gemmell for making so many fantastic heroic/anti-heroic characters. It's not really possible to choose a favourite.

Who, in your opinion, was Gemmels most dangerous/deadliest character in any of his books and why? Is it Waylander...Druss...Decado...Tarantio...Skillgannon...Connovar...???

And who was the best swordsman?

Decado.. He could've easily bested Skillganon in the swords of night and day as Skillganon stated himself . Tarantio wasn't as good as Dace who lived within him and although both Druss and Connovar were deadly and were powerhouses.. I think Decado would've been too quick for them.. But its all a matter of opinion ‍
