The chronicles-network staff has now expanded, with the addition of eight established members to the forum staff.

    The new Moderators are:

    Board Moderators:

The Master™ - Star Trek board
    polymorphikos - Humour board
    McMurphy - Gaming board
Blue Mythril - Oriental Theatre board (new)

General Moderators over the Author boards
    :

    Lacedaemonian
    erickad71
    Morning Star
    rune

    Just as a general notice:

    Existing forum staff are:

    Admins:

Just myself - for the time being.

    I, Brian
    brian

("brian" was simply the original admin alias I used, when this forum was powered by different software.)

    Supermoderators:

Each SuperModerator has general Moderator powers over every board in the forum:

    Amidala - originally, General boards
    dwndrgn - originally, Books boards
    Foxbat - originally, Film boards
    littlemissattitude - originally, Writers boards
    knivesout - originally, Reviews boards

    Other Board Moderators

Bigmacscanlan - film, and music, boards.
Chronicles - an alternative alias of Brian's, used to test Moderator functions.

A big thanks to the new Moderators for accepting to come aboard, despite that I've made it seem anything but welcoming. :)

    Congratulations. :)

Thank you, I look forward to helping make the forums a happier place, but we are very fortunate in that there is a real nice sense of community here already.

Actually the term moderator really stems from the ancient term meaning "To Serve"

So now you can be waited on hand and foot!

Moderator doors aren't closed - it's just a case of taking a few of the more established members and training them up to full confidence, with what can actually be a complex set of tools.

For example, a Moderator might have to remove a post from thread, then split that thread, then merge it with a different thread, then move it to another board - all without accidentally deleting it all. :)

It takes time to get used to the functions, so better to work with small groups.

I'm sure we'll see new Moderators later on. :)

I do wish you wouldn't say such things. They still scare me

    Maybe I've got Moderatophobia :D
