Jonas is evolved past us humans, right? His photographic memory and all that. Nirrti even said "Those few thousand years on another world have changed you more than you know". He is the key to the Asgard cloning problem! Jack was "close", but Jonas is more evolved than Jack. Of course, that means they need to bring him back (at least for some guest roles) to continue this ongoing story (Since the evolution thing has been touched upon in Redemption, Metamorphasis, Prophecy and maybe some others).

Not necessarily. The Asgard cloning problem is as the result of 30,000 years of genetic narrow-mindedness. Who's to say that Jonas' race, after perhaps only 2000-3000 years of independent development, won't also do that when put in the same conditions as the Asgard?

Also, since the Asgard now have a "early" sample to work from, that should be enough?

Maybe, but it's been a good 18 months. You'd think they have made some headway. Anyway, I think it's a good way to work Jonas into a few more eps. He should be worked into a few more eps!

Given the seriousness and importance of the task, not to mention the intricacy, they'll want to get it absolutely right. It's taken 30,000 years to go so desperately wrong, so a couple to fix it properly would seem acceptable ;)

[And I'm still only at "Memento" (6.20), so have no idea if anything else has been said...]

The Asgard investigating Quinn for insights into their medical research would definitely be a logical extension of this story arc. Although IMHO having him as a complete solution to all Asgard genetic problems would be too convenient and obvious. If this possibility were to be explored in an episode it would be difficult to prevent it becoming a remake of Fragile Balance. There would have to be original plot developments to make the story arc worth exploring in this manner.
