Another of SK's works. A simple gardener is turned into a computer genius. A scientist is working on a formula of increasing someones brain capacity. He uses his gardener Jobe. He does by using virtual reality and intelligence enhancing drugs.

Pretty good film. I enjoyed it. Not seen for a while but would watch it again if the opportunity arose.

Starring Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Fahey, this story was an adaptation of a Stephen King short. The film doesn't really have that much relevance to the book IIRC.

A scientist performs experiments involving intelligence enhancing drugs and virtual reality on a simple-minded gardener. He puts the gardener on an extensive schedule of learning, and quickly he becomes brilliant. But at this point the gardener has a few ideas of his own on how the research should continue, and the scientist begins losing control of his experiments.

The lawnmower man is a short story that Stephen King wrote. To condense it down it was about a man that knocked on peoples doors to see if they needed their grass cutting. The twist in the tale is that he ate it like a sheep.
As you can see there is no mention of VR in the story at all! The screenplay bears absolutley no relation to the story at all apart from the name that is. Click here to see the legal document.
