I think it didn't really give a different effect to the movie. Overall, you weren't thinking about who was speaking as Treebeard, it was more what Treebeard the character was saying :D

I thought the movie was really good, as always there gunna have somethings that son't relate to the book, but overall it was good. Now I don't know if it was just me, but didn't anyone else think that in this movie, Legolas' character opened up a little more? I mean I thought he smiled a lot...

I still believe overall they are all good fighters, that is the reason they were chosen to asked to go into the Fellowship, but by far Gandalf is one of the strongest in my opinion... he didn't get the name Gandalf the Grey for nothing :D
