    The new Dr who

Exactly! I love it when someone else sees what I see in a show. A large part of the show is just their reaction to weird stuff. It makes you wonder what you would do in their situation. Its good to put yourself in someone else's shoes once in a while. Good sci-fi should do that.:)

    Doesn't anyone watch Supernatural?

Its not sad! Thats what the show is all about! That, urban legends and small-town America. And I love the sense of humour.

    Doesn't anyone watch Supernatural?

Anyone seen the latest season two episodes? Dying to discuss it with somoeone!

    Your earliest sci-fi memory...

Well I loved Heinlein as a child - Have Spacesuit, Will Travel and Citizen of the Galaxy being two favourites. The effects on V might have dated badly but some of the topics they covered are still relevant today. 'Aliens' will always be a substitute for the 'other' that society shuns! ;)

    1.09: Random Shoes

If only. But I doubt it. If common sense can't prevail, why would online criticism succeed?:p

    1.09: Random Shoes

They shouldn't be allowed to produce a series two after that utter rubbish they presented in season one. But TV networks are never logical. Many a great series has been consigned to the scrap heap after one season, so maybe they will plough on? They always seem to do the opposite of whatever it...

    Torchwood Series 2 - speculations?

I think you are both being quite compassionate as I fear I might even cheer if Owen's gargantuan and unnaturally spherical spud was stuffed into boiling lard. He really is revolting. (Really enjoyed Hustle and looking forward to the first airing of Life on Mars)

    1.09: Random Shoes

I'm sure ladygiggs will post eventually. We don't want to give up on Torchwood, in the same way you don't want to give up on a juvenile delinquent. They both have such promise and their whole future ahead of them! However, time will tell if they are up to the challenge. I always watch the...

    Torchwood Series 2 - speculations?

Re: Torchwood Series 2 I happen to agree. Both literally and metaphorically. :D

    Your earliest sci-fi memory...

Well seeing as you don't have an earliset sci-fi memory anymore, maybe you should write your memoirs so others can read it and have it as their earliset sci-fi memory? ;)

    1.09: Random Shoes

Dear god. It gets worse than Random Shoes? I kept wondering when the episode would start to be about Torchwood. Its not the 'Gwen Show' after all. She's the empathic one. We get it. Now move on! It was more like an episode of Touched by an Angel. So was it an...

    Your earliest sci-fi memory...

If they had done it properly you wouldn't be able to remember they had done it... Pff! Amateurs! ;)

    1.07: Greeks Bearing Gifts

Oh good I wasn't the only one who found that creepy. Really. It gave me the creeping wiggins. Much scarier than Jack in Countrycide when he was trying to convince that guy that he would torture him. My main thought in this episode was that Tosh needs counselling for her "validation issues"...

    1.08: They Keep Killing Suzie

How long is a piece of string? Or How quick is a "quickie"? :D And seriously, is Ianto the only one doing any real work at Torchwood? (When he's not busy sleeping his way to the top.) He's certainly the only one doing any thinking "Actually, that's the thing about gloves, sir... they...

    1.06: Countrycide

I have finally managed to watch this episode because my friend Ladygiggs bought it on DVD (Torchwood is not realeased in Australia yet). So in order not to be a buzzkill I will focus on what I really liked about this episode : The look on Ianto's face when he looks in the freezer full of...

Nope. I have not read West of Eden. Why? Are you recommending it? :D

I used to love Harry Harrison! The Death World series! Pure gold!

    Torchwood: Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd)

Ah Dave... *shakes head* You've got it in one. I'm pretty sure that is the main appeal for most women. He's not drop-dead gorgeous. He's puppy-dog cute. He's sensitive. *rolls eyes and grins* But I do need to point out that you can lust after TV characters that you would never touch with a ten...

    Torchwood not certain for Australia

Ahahahaha! Ah ladygiggs you're always looking for the silver lining! Its never too early to start indoctrinating the young 'uns, is it?

Sounds like The Island, doesn't it? Its a common theme in sci-fi. I don't think it was L'Engle, but I'm not sure who did write it. That bugs me. I want to find out! Off to do some Googling! :o
