    Discovered Authors 2011

My discovered author for 2011 is Alistair Reynolds, after picking up pushing ice in a second hand bookshop in Alnwick, Northumbria whilst on my jollies. I have never read a book of this genre (unless the star wars and star trek books I read as a teen count) and I found it thoroughly engaging...

December's Deliciously Delirifacient Dabblings Into Fictional Diversions

I'm halfway through 20,000 leagues under the sea, by Jules Verne. I have really enjoyed the pacing of it so far, I appreciate the short chapters as I can dip in and dip out at ease. I have got Dune sat next to be read, with monstrous regement to follow that.

How you attack the "To be read" pile...

My TBR. is at 7 books, however three are the start of a series, so that means its a much bigger number in reality. I tend to read them series by series, often breaking them up with a different genre.

The Joyous Jaunty June Perusals (Or what we are reading in June)

http://www.orionbooks.co.uk/MP-42569/Elric-Of-Melnibone.htm It seemed like short stories, about 6 chapters. It covered his whole saga though as far as I could tell.

    Ursidae

The moon sat solitary in the sky, looking down solemnly at the surface of the earth. Deep within the undergrowth, the moon's gaze was met by a broad framed being. It crouched in the foliage of the thick bushes which boarded a muddy path, which contained several sets of footsteps of varying...
