    Shannara: what is it about?

I know a lot of people who came to the same conclusion.:)

    Shannara Series

This is starting to remind me of Star Wars.

Fantasy Books with LOTS of magic use

I think Brooks' pace is fine, but even with Shannara, I'd like some more magic. I love Elfstones of Shannara because Wil overcomes his wariness and mistrust with magic. As for my suggestion, I'd go with David Eddings' The Belgariad (and then) The Mallorean series. The writing isn't amazing...

I agree. I thought Polgara was good.

    If there was a movie?

If only sean connery's voice was more American accented, I'd say him as Belgarath.

What is the hardest game you ever played?

Missile something or other for PSone. I could not get past level 5 - too many things to shoot before being shot.

    Which are you most like?

Which Shannara descendant are you most like in terms of personality (this includes all of Shea's line)? I think I'm most like Wil Ohmsford - thoughtful and decisive (but then again, most of the main Ohmsfords are like that, aren't they? )

Would you rate Tolkien as a writer?

For the first bold section, it's interesting to note that Tolkien, Lewis, and maybe Wells or some other prominent author of the day were friends. They were actually members of some close Christian circle. Therefore, it's easy to see how both wrote fantastical stories in relatively the same...

Why is Harry Potter so popular?

I think HP is so popular because we can relate to him, and even though the setting in which he lives is completely unrealistic, the manner in which he lives is very realistic.

    ur favorite Eddings book?

    Enchanter's Endgame is my favorite.

    Garion or Errand?

Garion because I can relate more to the man. Also, I think we see a little more into Garion's mind than we do into Errands - the boy anomaly. I wish Garion was written to be a little more witty, but then again, there's enough wit to go around with the rest of his company.

    Shannara: what is it about?

Do you still want one? Shannara can't really be described in a paragraph - it started off as a LOTR copy-off, but has evolved into something much different. Brooks has taken Shannara from straight up Tolkien fantasy and turned it into a mix of fantasy and futuristic fiction. The storyline is...

Shannara Series Is it set in this wourld

Same here - toward the end of Heritage and beginning of Voyage was when I think I began to see how Shannara may be set in our own world. This theory has spawned several more theories on what composes "magic" in Brooks' world.
