    nanowrimo 2011

    I'm pretty sure, although don't quote me on this, that you can still write past that limit. I think their goal is 50,000 words, but that shouldn't prevent you from going past that if your goal is different. This is the first year that I'll be taking it seriously, so I'm really excited for this one.

    Spreadsheets for short story submissions

    Has anyone considered Sonar, by Spacejock? It's built to the purpose, at least. I've not submitted anything yet, but I do enjoy using yWriter, so Sonar may be a good option, too.

    I am definitely not close to a lawyer, but I would imagine that is definitely worthy of praise, having a published decision like that. Congratulations!

    Cities in your mind.

    I agree with posters above; it can definitely depend on your setting, and if locations will have any bearing on your story. As an example, if you were doing modern or urban fantasy, with real-world locations, I think it would be prudent to do your homework and make sure your locations...
