    A season theme?

Captain Jack was a Time Agent, not a Time Lord. I think the theme could be a lot of throw backs to Doctor Who until the series establishes itself in its own right. So far lots of references, which you would expect from a spinoff, and the Cyber conversion unit, and thats only in the first 4...

Does the Great Burn mean that the B5 crew ultimately failed?

As far as the B5 crew failing, no they didn't. The Great Burn happened years after B5 was decommissioned. At that stage it fell to the Rangers and the Galactic Alliance. B5 filled its extended role superbly and did its job way beyond what it was originally designed for. So in that respect...

    Crusade Remake

I was an avid B5 fan and i haven't seen any Crusade episodes so i can't comment on the series at all :(

Your first memorable Babylon 5 episode

I had read about the pilot in a magazine (can't remember which one now) and when it was released on video, I found it in my local Blockbuster and watched it. That was me hooked. I also agree Severed Dreams was an amazing episode. Lots of action. And if WB had followed through with season 5...

    Crusade Remake

TNT bailed JMS out after WB dropped B5 after season 4. It messed the B5 story arcs up too, hence the sudden conclusion of the Earth war and rushed story arc of season 5. After the movies paved the way for Crusade, why not let the saviour of B5 make them?? But from what I read in magazines like...

    Dark City (1998)

Re: Dark City I was dragged to see it by a friend, just because Alex Proyas (The Crow) directed it and I loved it!!!

    Johnny and the bomb

I only said as far as I can tell it follows closely to the book, as had just started reading the book. Now I have read a bit more of it, there are huge changes compared to the book. Still it was a good series. Can't wait for the reported upcoming Bromeliad animated movie. For those who...

    Johnny and the bomb

Did anyone else catch this? I thought this was a great piece of drama, though seemingly aimed at children / young teenagers. Terry Pratchett at his best, which as far as i can tell, follows close to the book. Any other views?

    Batman Begins (2005)

Re: Batman Begins! Saw this film on saturday. What can I say?? Absolutely brilliant. Cast is perfect. Christian Bale has won me over for best Batman / Wayne, only just overtaking Keaton. Good to see the franchise getting back to the comic book roots, instead of "pick an enemy or 2 and try and...

    Obi-Wan's Training

But surely the comment about Yoda training him would have been before he met Anakin? How can he train as good as Yoda if Yoda trains him after the birth of Vader??

What type of Starwars fan are you?

I remember as a kid using BMX handle grips and broom stick handles inserted in the end as lightsabres. Also my friend had a dog, which we pretended was an Imperial AT-AT. I was too young to see Ep 4 when it was initially released, but i saw Empire Strikes Back and was blown away.

    Best duel of the saga

Mine has to be Yoda and Anakin Vs Dooku in ep2. To see Yoda in action was awesome. It may have been mainly CG but who cares? It was the way he used the force to draw his sabre from his belt.....
