    V

What did everyone make of V? Really strong first episode I thought. Morris Chestnut was really cool and Morena Bacarrin was very hot in a cold kind of way. Will be interesting to see where they take it. Hopefully Michael Ironside will have a cameo. Syfy are showing the first episode online for...

    Online Thunderbirds and Stingray games

I almost forgot to say; is anyone here into online gaming??? Online gamer plus Gerry Anderson fan = person who needs to check out the Thunderbirds and Stingray games on scifi.co.uk. They were made with supermarionation fans in mind so it would be a crying shame if there were overlooked by...

    Warehouse 13 on SCI FI

Hi all, Warehouse 13, the smash hit US series, is starting on the SCI FI Channel exclusively in the UK on Tuesday at 9pm. Do you know much about the show? Basically it’s about two government agents (think Mulder and Scully with more laughs) who are assigned to the mysterious Warehouse 13 and...

Legend of the Seeker - Bruce Spence Interview

Hi everyone, Over on scifi.co.uk we carried out interviews with the cast members from Legend of the seeker, including Bruce Spence, which was particularly cool. Here's what Bruce had to say about filming the Mouth of Sauron; One more question for you. When you were filming the Mouth of...

    The Mist (2007)

Re: Stephen King’s The Mist Yeah the Marcia Gay Harden mentalist character wouldn't have held sway in my manor. Straight out the shop door with a boot in her back.

    Avatar (2009)

Re: James Cameron's Avatar Titanic was fairly awful, but I think this is going to be great. It's interesting that with Star Trek Terminator Salvation forming the current zeitgeist nobody is talking about Avatar. Come the end of the summer you know the publicity machine will go into overdrive.

    Rodrigez to direct Predators

I have to say I quite like the whole gung ho aspect of the first Predator. It's most definitely a product of the 80s and it's practically swimming in testosterone; but if you can look at it in that respect and not take it too seriously it's a lot of fun.

    Favourite Kurgan?

Between Clancy Brown and Michael Ironside? Obviously the first film is a hell of a lot better and on a critical front Clancy is far superior, but Ironside provides a truly hilarious performance. The scene on the tube is classic.

    The Mist (2007)

Re: Stephen King’s The Mist For me a large reason for this film's greatness is Tom Jane. He's a severely underrated actor who just happens to have made some bad decisions.

    American Gothic

For me this show had a lot of potential, but never quite fulfilled it. Gary Cole was awesome though.

What's your worst scifi sequel of all time?

It has to be Highlander 2 doesn't it? Ironside is awful... in a truly brilliant way though. It is awful, but it's a guilty pleasure.

    Rodrigez to direct Predators

Has anyone heard that Robert Rodriguez is going to direct a new Predator film? Apparently it will be called 'Predators'... hmmm, imaginative. Could be good though. Well, certainly better than the two AVP films.

    The Silmarillion

Ahhh, that makes sense. Is The Children of Hurin worth reading? Obviously I've read the tale in The Silmarillion, and have so far not considered reading TCOH. It would be great to read an extended history of the Noldor's flight from Valinor. The passage across the icy seas is so cinematic.

    Dollhouse

Dollhouse is Joss Whedon's latest TV show. It stars Eliza Dushku as 'Echo', a puppet who is kept inside a top secret house where young men and women are brainwashed and then used at will for whatever task the customer commands. Some customers want an assassin, some want a bodyguard... others...

    The Silmarillion

I read this book again recently. It may not have the strong narrative thread of The Hobbit or LOTR, but in terms of epic scope I rate this up their with any of Tolkien's work. How the hell did one man come up with all that stuff?
