    Elvish name translator!

My name (Lucy) translates into: Tegaladwen (Teh-GAH-lahd-wehn) which means 'bringing light'

    I Met Ezio!

What do I mean? I met him? How can I meet a video game character? Don't you mean I met someone dressed up as him? Nope, I met Roger Craig Smith who is the voice of Ezio. My friends and I went down to MCM expo yesterday, and I knew he was down there prior to going and was signing autographs so...

Thieves' Burden: A short excerpt (434 words)

Aha I see what you're getting at. Your ending made me laugh. Heard of Assassin's Creed? It's one of my favourite games :P

What Game Are You Currently Playing?

Not been gaming much as of late due to college. But I have been playing some Final Fantasy XIII which I got months after everyone else. That and I decided to try my hand at some Mirror's Edge speed runs, I'm at like 3.12 and so stupidly close to the 'qualifying' time it's not funny.

Thieves' Burden: A short excerpt (434 words)

Thanks I'll look into those points when I come back to it lest I get stuck in an eternal editing cycle, I'll post some more up at somepoint it's one of those classic 'know where it's ending up but hit a block' things right now.

For those of you writing a fantasy novel set in a school...

Yeah I had a story that was essentially set in a school and the surrounding town. It was a modern day mage academy story. Didn't work out.

Thieves' Burden: A short excerpt (434 words)

Thanks for looking this over. Yeah I think with the opening in my mind it was meant to be like a voiceover. Like when you have a game or movie and it opens up with a shot of wherever it's set with said voice over, kind of like it was later panning into it. But I suppose it's something that is...

    The day after

I can't really give you any indepth critique as it's already been covered by others. I do want to say that this is quite an interesting story you've got coming here. Through each rewrite you've done it's gotten better and it still maintains a very suspensful, creepy tone to it. It's really drawn...

Thieves' Burden: A short excerpt (434 words)

Okay, some of you may recognise me some of you won't. If you do recognise me you will probably remember the fantasy story I was working on before I disappeared. Bascially I found I wasn't getting anywhere and ended up scrapping it but I really liked the setting and some of the characters I'd...

    Found Some Useful Questionaires

Someone on DeviantART made these and I thought I'd share as they look to be a helpful resource. Build a Town or City Meme by ~supergirl1984 on deviantART (Depending on your setting you may need to edit/omit some questions) supergirl1984's Gallery (Character Questionare)

The Hell Book (need help anyone?)

Sounds interesting. But as I've watched too much Anime my brain did go 'Death Note?' mainly because of the main idea behind the book but it does sound like a pretty interesting story concept. I'll be interested in how the story turns out.

Any Plot But "Save the World"

*mystic voice and hand movements* You wiiiiiilllll reeeeemeeember.... OooooOooooo.... Actually, I can't remember the name of the series but there's some kids fantasy book I found in a discount bookshop that had something like 'What would you do if a mysterious stranger told you, you were the...

What Games Are You Excited Over?

So, what games are you excited for that are coming out soon? I've gone gaga over Fable 3, Assassin's Creed 3 and Force Unleashed 2

What Game Are You Currently Playing?

Nothing currently as my XBox is disconnected and has been for a few months. But I was making my way through Assassins' Creed 2, Dragon Age: Origins with occassional bursts of Fable 2. I picked up a whole bunch of games recently inlcuding: Prince of Persia, Sands of Time Brutal Legend Bayonetta...

    The Inferior Hero

Same, I find Superman to be rather boring too many powers, only one flaw. Actually, I find Jean/Phoenix a bit boring as she seems 'ultra perfect' a lot of the time but also is apparently super uber, destroy the universe powerful. Heroes with the 'one true weakness' can be really annoying as well.

Any Plot But "Save the World"

I do remember in a project of mine that has now been laid to rest the four main characters (five if you include the dog) did ultimatley save the world from a evil 'dark lord and his demeted army' type but it wasn't the main thing they set out to do. It started of with character A and B setting...

    The Inferior Hero

Good points, in a way I can think of an 'inferior' hero. Naruto, at the start of the series at least he is the worst shinobi of the bunch, he's considered stupid and apparently can't do any of the justus and the like. But he's bascialy made up of pure nerve and deterimation as he 'wants to be...

    Favorite children's novels/series

Oh yeah, not sure if they count as these are comics but I also spent a lot of time reading 'The Adventures of TinTin' and 'Asterix'
