    Who's the coolest general?

How about Guderian or Model?? Both were innovative and changed the face of modern warfare.

Does anybody actually enjoy these books? (Spoilers)

I still enjoy the series, and look forward to the last book (just so the circle is complete). I can recall when the first few books came out being amazed by RJ's writing style and his amazing land and cultures. I stilll believe that his vision of Randland (if whatever people like to call it) is...

Greatest Warrior and Greatest Military Genius before 1900

Has anyone given any thought to Baibars the commander of the Mamluks? He destroyed the Crusader states in the Middle East, and even defeated the Mongols in battle at one point.

Terry Goodkind Sword Of Truth/ Good Or Bad?

I started reading the Goodkind series as it was recommended to me, but cannot for the life of me finish the first book! It is so boring! Cant believe I bought the second book as well! But it was going for 99 cents on ebay! (Now I know why! lol).

    Stephen King - Best Book??

Tricky one! I guess my top three are fairly predictable; IT, The Stand, Needful Things. But I really love his short story collections as well.

    Favourite "Bad Guy"

Definitely Flagg, Pennywise, and Gaunt for me. Unless you count weird things like Mists and Slicks on isolated swimming holes as "bad guys"!

    Best Siege

I agree that Armengar was written the best, and a fantastic siege. It is definitely my favourite! Krondor is brilliant as well, the loss of the city and some main characters is heartbreaking and poignant.

    Simpsons: Favorite Reoccurring Characters

How can you dislike her? And her story is a sad one!

    Death scenes.

Pagan for fortitude against the odds. Druss for sheer pig headedness against death, and the fact that such a man comes but once a lifetime or longer. Connavar for knowing that the brother he loved had betrayed him, but willingly went to see him anyway. That man, though a tortured soul, had many...

    Memories of Ice...good grief!

Before I started reading The Malazan series, I thought Martin was the master. Now I am in doubt, I am two thirds of the way through MOI and am stunned by the sheer brilliance of his writing. Words fail me to describe how encompassing his work is! I admit the first novel was in my humble eyes...
