    A polaroid camera with a suitcase full of film! (remember that movie Time Bandits?) :rolleyes: of course, if we have any control over the time we are being transported to...perhaps a trip to Middle Earth with a mood ring...see if it makes any difference! ;)

    I am glad to see that I am not the only one that found the series on a crash course...of course, I still haven't been able to finish reading book 2! Yet there are so many...I figured I must be missing something. :confused:

    I have Robin Hobb's books on my must read list. Are they any good?

    I was delightfully introduced to Hobb's style of writing (I agree that it is more character-based than plot based) with a book of hers called "Shaman's Crossing," which I found very difficult to put down. I'd definitely recommend it.
