    Medieval Total War 2

I would also think that RTW is better than M2TW. M2TW just isn't right, it may be fancy looking and all that, but it isn't 'right'.

    Don't hate Cat

Did you just indicate that Rhollor is the god that is behind making Wights? Since it was Rhollor who brought her back to life. Therefore, if she's a wight, then someone in the North just had their position cut down by a really large margin. Along with your precious Lord Snow in grave danger...

Not the sharpest swords in the armory

Am I the only one to think that the Lord Frey would have killed Robb even if he hadn't married Jeyne Westerling? During the wedding with one of his daughters... He had too many ties to Lannisters to remain helping the Stark-Tully Realm, compared to what ties he had with others. It would...

"promise me, Ned" and "the value of Howland Reed"

I might say that a right style of spear can always win a sword (at least in my mind, if the sword is armoured to full and the spear is only very lightly). This means a constant retreat backwards on an even ground while pushing forward with your spear at the incoming sword - the sword tires after...

Who's death? (SUPER MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGH AFFC)

I don't understand why Walder Frey should die. He should live for a long life, to see all his sons, and daughters, and their sons and daughters, and their sons and daughters die, until he is the Last Frey on Westros. Cersei is too cocky to survive in Westros. She thinks she knows something...

    If you could crown anyone...

Doesn't the name of 'The Winds of Winter' imply a Stark king on the Iron Throne? Or is it just my imagination and poor memory... Anyways, there is no such thing as a best king. You can only strive to be better than the last. And assuming that Tommen didn't really do anything, then it's not...

    Starks as Wargs [possible spoilers]

Didn't some passage in AFFC include a dream by someone being afraid of a man with a wolf's head coming towards them or something really similar?

    Brienne's last word nomination thread

I would guess 'Winter' also. Or something very close to it. Why would she cry out 'Stannis' or 'Arya'?

    Fate of the Wall

Some parts of the wall were stone, you can't melt that. :P

Paolini's 'Brisingr' -- Warning, Major Spoiler Ahead!

Could anyone explain why Oromis had to die in the end of Brising? I've been shocked by that for the last day or so, even though I usually retain a sense of impartiality towards anything what happens. Yet, Oromis' death was able to pierce through the personal 'walls'... and I'd like to...

    Map

Okay. Thanks. But lin, don't come telling me that rivers run faster closer to their mouths. That's the exact opposite of what I've heard... :P

    Map

Thanks all... I'll respond in parts.. Sephiroth, so we agree that a civilization (powerful one) could only develop in mountains with warmer climate? And that transportation of building material isn't really a problem in mountain ranges (because of being able to mine it almost everywhere)...

    Map

Interesting. Is this really a viable way of calculating the distance of the horizon?

How many pages makes an epic novel epic?

Indeed. H. Hesse's books (some of them) are rather short but their content isn't measured in words. So, let's expand the same to fantasy... EDIT: I could write 200,000 words of totally rubbish things too (a list of what to do for example). Does that mean I've written something 'epic'?

    Map

Hmmh. So there really aren't any deep rivers? Interesting. What about deep inland lakes? Would the water flow out of these through shallower or deeper rivers? Lith, what (or whose) map you would want to hear more about?

Yeah, I can second that. I am extremely grateful for everyone that helps me answering something here (and there are many things unasked because... I've decided to revamp my map completely. I'll try to sketch it today and then I can point out some new and more important points):D Sephiroth, I'd...

    Map

What's that 12,000 feets in meters? Some 3,000 m? This would naturally mean that people mine the stone from the surroundings or they transport it in from somewhere else? Oh, and a great thanks to everyone (especially Graham for agreeing with me... :D)
