    Which Greek God are You?

Bah! I like quizzes so took it anyway, even though I'm neither male nor a lesbian. The women questions were hard to answer, as none of the answers were valid, but I tried to think about what I would say were I male yet still had the same personality. and I am apparently Hephaestus. You're...

    Favourite fictional character

Okay, I have a slight problem in that I can't edit my post... Could someone tell me why that might be? :S And to make this 2nd post worthwhile, I'll say what I was going to say. Even though it's not a fantasy based novel, I also found the character Jude (from the Noughts and Crosses trilogy)...

    Guinea-pigs wanted...

Vista has enough bugs as it is! My laptop won't let me install hardware, hates me using Premiere, doesn't let me add drivers, and I blame vista. ¬_¬

    Favourite fictional character

I actually really liked Dustfinger from Inkheart... I haven't read much of the latter books but, despite being more a supporting character than a main, he really stood out in the first. He was mysterious and refreshing. :) There are others, but I'll have to get back to you on that.

    Revival of a story.

Can't you change a few things to make it new? Re-form the plot as it were. I may be misunderstanding you, but if you're basing it on something (history, another story, a commonly-used format etc), there's surely nothing wrong with deviating from the original. You could just use it as a starting...

What was the last movie you saw?

The last movie I watched all the way through was "In The Land of Women" which was actually very refreshing! It was mainly character based and, despite not having much of a plot, never had a dull moment. The characters were all believable...although Kristen Stewart's felt underdeveloped. Despite...

What Anime and Animation are you currently watching?

Only Clannad After Story as soon as each episode comes out, with Spice and Wolf acting as an anime I'm progressing through slowly...

    WHO are YOU?

I'm Judy, 18, and am currently studying English with Creative Writing at Uni; I'm hoping it'll help me along the pathway to becoming a published author. As well as writing and reading I enjoy photo and video editing as well as gaming; I love photography, play the piano (occasionally, as I no...

What Game Are You Currently Playing?

Re: What Are You Currently Playing? (2009) Well, I don't game as much as I used to, but I've recently been playing Apollo Justice on my D.S. I sadly don't have access to my Wii or PS2 at Uni! :( I've also been completing the bonuses on Professor Layton and the Curious Village, but have finished...

Don't judge a book by it's cover, eh?

While I get drawn to books by their covers (e.g. in the case of "The Last Wish"), if the blurb doesn't sound good, I don't hesitate to put it down. And there are occasions where I'll read blurbs based on the title too (e.g. "The Name of the Wind")! I think cover-spotting is what I do when I'm...

Fantasy Recommendations for the Unenlightened 2

The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss Book 1: The Name of the Wind A refreshing read, to say the least. The writing is very good, with plenty, but not an overbearing amount, of detail. Everything is described in a vivid and believable way, helping to bring the world, its people and...

    Brian Jacques - Redwall

I really like these books? I've read: Martin the Warrior Mossflower Mariel of Redwall The Legend of Luke The Pearls of Lutra Triss I loved all of them, although I have to admit they're rather samey. Martin the Warrior is, so far, my favourite, followed by Triss. I do recommend you read the...

    Watership Down, Opinions?

I read it when I was about 14 and loved it. I found it easy enough to read, although I doubt I understood all of the language. I think it's a very good story, and would like to re-read it sometime soon. (I should really finish the books I'm reading at the moment first.)

What is your favorite opening line?

"After killing the red-haired man, I took myself off to Quinn’s for an oyster supper . . ." This is from The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox. It just draws the reader in!

What was the last movie you saw?

Well, today, I watched Stardust. It was really good, actually, although the ending was too fairy-tale-like. Other than that, very well done. The acting was superb, and there were many moments that made my friend and I laugh! =D

    New or Used?

It varies for me. If it's a new book, I buy it first hand, but if it isn't, I don't object to getting it second hand at all. It's more environmentally friendly, after all. Sometimes, though, I prefer getting them first hand, even when they're older. It all depends on how much I want a book...

    Old PC games you loved

The games I used to play on the computer weren't known well at all... And I wouldn't classify them as real games, save for The Sims. >_< When I was a really young kid, I played Catz (2, 3, 4 and 5) and Dogz (3, 4 and 5), as well as stupid games like Muppet Treaure Island and The Animals of...

    Finishing Games

I have to admit, I don't often finish games anymore. I used to finish games as often as I could, and sometimes I'd strive to do so, but now I'm more relaxed about it. I buy games I like, and play them when I want to. I don't try really hard to finish a game if I lose interest, but if I've...
